The food was lovely here and set in a lovely little cottage with a gorgeous coral fire. :) we will definitely go back some day when we are next in the area
Had an amazing lamb dinner here. The service is great and food tastes as good as it looks.
The desserts amazing too.
Better call to reserve a table beforehand.
We dropped in for coffee and had a brilliant baked Camembert as a snack!! Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely pop in again when in the area!
The food here is outstanding. It's a small, quiet pub serving an excellent range of meals, lovingly prepared by the owner. My fussy children aged 14 and 11, who usually turn their noses up at anything new, discovered how delicious grown up food can be. The culinary highlight of our trip to the Peak District.
A few of us visited here for a late Sunday Lunch. Lovely food and very friendly. My dog was welcomed and even given some lovely meat scraps. Would strongly recommend, however, after chatting to the owner of the pub she did explain that you should always call to book as the pub isn’t open all the time.
I hope you get to enjoy as we did ????.
My wife and I had dinner here in August 2021. The food was outstanding and the prices extremely good in our opinion considering the quality of the produce used and the creativity of the menu. The service was also exceptional. This is a must-visit restaurant in the Peak District.
We were a party of 14 adults going for lunch on Sunday and the food was out of this world, the service was excellent and the food in our opinion from all of the party was top notch and tasted like home cooked food and great value for money. This pub is worth a visiting and is a diamond in the Peak District. Freshly prepared home cooked food from the best.
We arrived without a booking but the landlady accommodated us at late notice. We at the most delicious meal - rack of lamb for both of us and a crumble to share for dessert. Generous and well cooked. We will definitely return when we stay in the area again. Recommend prebooking.
