Best KPortal Reviews
Quaint diner. Service was excellent! Very friendly staff! Food portions were very generous. If you order pancakes or French toast- split the plate. We had - corn beef hash- French toast- pancakes- eggs- sausage. All was very tasty!
We went with a party of 6 for breakfast. Parking is a hassle but the food is great and reasonably priced. I got Peanut Butter, banana and chocolate drizzled French toast. My sister got the a meat lovers skill and we split it. We couldn’t finish all of it. Everyone else loved their food except my brother who’s egg white omelet was basically served on a plate of cooking oil. Manager didn’t check on us but automatically took it off the bill since there were 2 bites taken out of it. All in all very good.
I searched for Breakfast places near me and this place appear in the return. So I drove looking for the largest congregation of pickups.
The Spot is an unassuming from the outside and charming on the inside. The furnishings are worn but comfortable.
The service was immediate and welcoming. They have the standard breakfast options as well as their own specialties. (See photo)
I ordered bagels and lox (see photo). I have been craving it for quite awhile and was not disappointed at all. The coffee never stops flowing and no matter how busy they for someone came to check how I was doing.
The only downside was the cheesy grits which needed salt and congealed by the time I ate them. It wasn't a total loss as I was stuffed to the gills from the bagel! Ordering grits is always a dice roll, so I can't be mad.
9/10
I ate here today for the first time and it was the best breakfast I've had in a while. The food was delicious and the service was great!
The sign said, “Please wait to be seated”. I patiently stood inside the front door for more than 5 minutes before asking if they were closed. The reply was, “no why”? I said that I was patiently waiting to be seated and the young lady looked confusingly at the sign that was posted that said, “Please wait to be seated” and told me to sit anywhere. I sat at the bar on a stool for single eaters and the wait staff walked by and worked behind the counter for more than 5 minutes again, stocking up, and wiping down. The customer next to me said, “I think they’re ignoring you”. I said, “it sure seems that way”. I finally asked for a menu and then the service began. The meal was tasty but average at best. I had “homemade meatloaf”. I constantly had to ask for refill on my water and my glass of milk. The whole meal was only $25, so that was nice. I wouldn’t do “The spot” again.
Based on all the five-star reviews, something seemed off today. Other than being a little more patient than usual, I am certain it wasn’t me. I’ll give them another try and report back…
This place wasn't bad at all. The staff is very nice. Service was quick. There's plenty of parking. The chicken and waffles were pretty good, just a tad bit salty for my taste. Coffee was delicious.
The spot is an exceptional hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I invited two friends who had never been there before, and we found a cozy corner to sit down. The service was outstanding, with smiling staff members, and the food was absolutely delicious. The three-cheese omelette and Mr. V hash skillet were both ordered by my friends, and they couldn't stop raving about them. Admittedly, the decor could use some improvement, but we were primarily there for the food, which is why we chose this hidden gem. I would definitely go again.
We are visiting from out of town and wanted a quick brunch out of downtown. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and freshness of the food. It was SO good and so was the service! We have found our brunch spot when we come back! Thank you ☺️
