The food is excellent and all fish served here are completely fresh. It has a good atmosphere. The service is good and they are very friendly and nice.
On Sunday June 2017 I had my 70th Birthday Party at The Shipyard for 50 family and friends. The atmosphere and food were fantastic. The staff looked after us all so well and everybody loved it. Thank your Paul, Liam, Lucie, Karen and all of the other bar staff and waiting staff. You made it a perfect day.
Food was very good however the service was ridiculously slow. We were the only diners left as we waited for our main course which didn't arrive for far too long. Eventually had to go and order a cocktail myself at the bar when the staff failed to clear our main course dishes. A very annoying constant 'beeping' from the kitchen also spoilt the meal. Lovely pub in a great location....shame about the service.
Was extremely impressed with sevice and the quality if the food. When I mentioned that I used to work in a few quality restaurants including The Ivy and Le Caprice, back in the day in London, the waitress got the head chef to come out and he said he was ex Le Caprice and it all made sense. Paul and his team have a really good thing going.
To find such quality food with 2nd to none service in such a setting is a welcome suprise.
Would definitely recommend and I will be going back for sure.
Anyone who likes amazing fish cooked well. You should call and book now. They are always busy it seems.

Literally the BEST fish restaurant in the new forest. The food is stunning, the fish / ingredients shine through. Cannot wait to come back! Top marks to the chefs! Great service also :)
