Visited for late lunch on a nice Monday afternoon in April. We had the opportunity to sit outside and were kindly served by their awesome and attentive staff. There seemed to be a vast variety of menu options for everyone, no matter what someone had a taste for! I really enjoyed my swordfish sandwich and the very crispy fried! The pulled pork sandwich and fish tacos also seemed to be decent! Overall, a great stop that accommodated everyone’s preferences!
My drink was surprisingly very good! Somewhat thick and fruity but not too sweet. Some of the other drinks were just alright. My lobster roll was so big and full of lobster. Great service and a nice upstairs with a good view.
Our first time at Seafood Shanty and we were quite pleased. The restaurant was a bit empty on Thursday in October, which I feel may have made the atmosphere a bit less exciting. We loved everything we ordered, including the cocktails, mussels, edamame, sushi, lobster roll, mahi sandwich, spicy peel & eat shrimp, and fish and chips. We’d go back, but hope it’s on a busier night and maybe with less foggy/wet night so we can sit outside.
Great service! Amazing food. Our server Kosal S was so attentive. I just had the best pan seared tuna sandwich ever! We also had the Shanty's burger & the salmon burger! They were delicious as well. The view was incredible!
I've been going here for a decade. Never did takeout until today - and I learned my lesson. I called the order in instead of using toast... I figured it might save the restaurant a fee. I also had a baby with me and hoped they might be willing to do a curbside pickup... they refused. Then to top it off, they charged me a mandatory 15% service fee for takeout and half the orders had issues. Just ridiculous.
I don't honestly know how to write this review. Just don't eat here. I was served a RAW pork sandwich. Server forgot my girlfriends sushi, it came out eventually but then we never saw another person. We waited a long time for the check and all in all I was just stunned. I run my own restaurant and I would shut my place down if the experience I had ever happened at my place.
Added: Do not mistake my lack of passive aggressiveness as a route to walk over. I design menus and create procedures for restaurants and resorts all over this country. I would be ashamed to say I own a restaurant like yours. If you put half the energy into fixing your restaurant as you did in your angry response to my honest review, then perhaps you be worth half of the star I gave you.
Really loved this place! The service was top notch. I got the cold lobster roll and a few pieces were pretty fishy. It was a really good size though. The Bloody Mary was awesome too.
I love this place. If it’s nice outside this is the go to place in Edgartown to dine and drink and enjoy views of the water. The food was so good. I got the lobster roll and lobster quesadilla both were amazing.
