Amazing transformation, in terms of service and overall experience , the Rose & Crown Tewin is an opulent place to be. Based on first impressions the environment is clean and well organised and the staff are friendly, attentive and well trained.
I hope to return once food is launched to leave just as satisfied as I am today ! xXx
Went for a massive walk around Tewin today and popped in for a roast and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious roast beef dinner, lovely staff and best of all, really dog friendly! Thank you for being so lovely, I can’t wait to come back for another visit! ????????????x
Great to have the local village pub up and running again. We're had a lovely evening at the re-opening tonight. Good to see the pub busy and full of happy locals again.
Seany and his family provide a nice little pub with good food at a very reasonable price. A good place to start/end a country walk, as it is surrounded by lovely countryside with plenty of footpaths.
Ended up in this pub when a nearby pub wouldn't serve us as they only dealt with bookings, it was totally empty. Their loss our gain. Great staff and the chicken pie was fantastic. Returned the following week for that pie and again they delivered. The spicy wings were also good. That pie is worth a journey. Superb setting, food and staff.
Great atmosphere nice and relaxed. Would like to be able to try the food one day ;)
Popped in for a well deserved drink, during a walk. The staff were friendly and it was a pleasure to sit in their beer garden.
Pleasantly surprised!! Had planned on going to the Plume of Feathers but it was heaving and my partner and I had been traveling all day so wanted a nice dinner. Drove down the road to the next pub and found the Rose and Crown, asked if they did food and were told yes. Barman was training another member of staff with the drinks - being kind and supportive as they spoke. £8 for an IPA and a shandy. Sat down and looked at menu, it looked awful! Choice of burgers, lasagne, scampi, fish goujons, all day brekkie, ham - egg - chips or pie of the day ...but printed on a laminated A4 piece of paper with bent corners, looking really uninspiring. For half our pints we'd committed to look elsewhere for food but the match was on and we couldn't be bothered to drive anymore so took our chances. Ham - egg - chips + chicken and mushroom pie, £23. Both arrived hot and looking amazing. Pie had plenty of filling and with good quality meat (I'm very squeamish with meat, any fatty bits/ veins and I'm not touching it!!) Big portions too! Chef brought them out and was very polite. Really pleased we stayed and took a chance after the unpromising looking menu. Don't let it put you off! Staff and regulars all said farewell. We will definitely be back again soon.
