SAW THE PUB IN THE LOCAL FREE PAPER AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GOOD TO TRY. easy to find with good car park. typical rural pub with local regulars. went for sunday lunch (carvery) was seated in dining room and called up to carvery, choice of 5 meats plenty veg roasties and yorkshire puds. server was not shy with meat portions and was very friendly, nothing too much trouble, as much veg as you wanted. personally i prefer a thicker gravy but tasty all the same. pudding menu was great however i was too full to try. carvery was under £10. fantastic value. was so good i went again a couple of weeks later. midweek food menu looks good at good prices, will be trying soon. smallest of niggles even though the pub wasnt full it was hard to get too the bar, regulars are the backbone of a pub but none regular trade should be encouraged, this doesnt mean we were not welcome though, just less priority. well recommended to all.
An amazing pub with fantastic staff. Me and my brother stopped over on a work night. The food was absolutely amazing and good portions for the price. The chef on the morning making breakfast was a pleasure to chat with. 100% recommend to anyone
Stopped off randomly as we were driving by. Never been before. Won't go again. Only option was carvery and it was not very nice at all. Dry meat. Soggy veg and Yorkshire puds rock hard. Diet cokes tasted watered down.
No rating for accommodation as we did not use it.
No WiFi in rooms and the staff are lairs and are also extremely rude definitely wouldn't recommend
Really nice local pub. Good sized portions and dog friendly. They serve Madri which we like. Recommend the Sunday carvery or any evening for food. My favourite is the Belly Pork and puddings. The pies are good and what really makes the place special is the great and welcoming staff. Fave pub.
A great find at a sensible price. Nice little touches like tea/coffee & biscuits in the room, a pint of real milk in the fridge, even a foxes glacier mint! Oh and a fantastic breakfast!
Really nice pub with dog friendly accommodation. Has a super atmosphere. Food was really good and an extremely helpful landlord/chef who was preared to provide breakfast (porridge0 which was not on the menu and allow my wife to remain in the room later than normal to allow me time to return following a half marathon race.
A very friendly at home atmosphere. The u it we was in is very comfortable and large bed. easy to park and food including the breakfast first class and plenty.
