For the value of the stay it was good. |Check in is from 3pm and we were waiting until around 4 to check in because of no one around and slow service. Other than that, food was good when ate there, no noise and rooms were clean and comfortable. Worth it
I have stayed here several times and always had a decent experience, it is cheap and cheerful accommodation, Kept clean and comfortable.

My son Booked this property via booking.com.for 3nights 8/9/10 Dec 2023.check in was after 3pm fine. Ran 3 times between 2pm and 3pm No Answer .arrived just after 4pm after a long drive from Wales. The place was locked up no light or any sign of life. Rang Tel No again no answer. As it was getting late and rather than drive back home to Wales and after numerous calls managed to get in a place in Thirsk at a far higher price. Complained to Booking. Com who after 5days said hotel not willing to refund even though they broke the contract by not being there to book him in.

Felt compelled to leave my review to give some balance to the other reviews on this site. I booked this stay at last minute and it was the only place in my budget.||Very friendly staff on arrival and check-in was prompt. The room was relatively basic but very clean, the bathroom was lovely and may have been recently updated with the shower being surprisingly good. The towels were basic, one was heavily stained and should be replaced, complimentary shower gel and shampoos were provided.||Plenty of t&c sachets and uht milks, smart TV on the wall. The two lamps over the beds didn't work / blown bulbs, but the main light and another lamp did. Room could do with a couple of water glasses.||The beds (1 double 1 single) were very comfortable and the pillows and duvets were lovely. At 10pm on a Saturday evening the building was silent, no noise from other rooms, the restaurant or anywhere else.||The carpet leading to the the rooms could be deep cleaned and the room and corridors could do with a repaint. There was a microwave in the corridor which was great for morning's porridge. ||Considering the reviews and based on the price, I was really pleased with my visit and would stay again.
This is not the hotel if you want space. The rooms smelt of cigarette smoke and the hotel chief was smoking in the dinning room when we arrived. The bath was dangerous because it was too high to step into and get out of. The beds were clean but cramped. Insufficient toiletries provided for 3 people.
Me and my partner absolutely love traveling somewhere new every-weekend ,but this is the worst place we had ever been. Nothing was Pat tested it was last tested in 2017 which is a massive health and safety risk. We went into one room to be greeted with dust filthy floors hair in the plug hole Absolutely filthy we had to change the rooms as it was appalling. then we got put in another room. No kettle no plug for the bath still absolutely filthy we then had to get someone to come back up after complaining how many times and fix the tv.the window was cracked used soap in bathroom ,tea bags ,not usable and some sort of fluid all over the chairs all round a absolute nightmare we was going to eat at this place but with the state of the rooms we didn’t want to take the risk we definitely will never be attending this place again even the customer service was poor also the views of a random caravan and load of rubbish all round the back with a full skip of rubbish. I would not look at the pictures online are not accurate photos at all.
Please avoid for a stay ,to start off when we arrived around 15:30 I has to hunt for someone to book in with ,the phone number we were given wasn't answered.
Once I found someone to take us to the room we were disappointed the room was dusty and smelled of vapes ,also the heating was off for the summer, room was cold ???? also the hot water was on a timer .we would of left but they refused a refund .its a very noisy place so you'll not get much sleep .terrible experience would not recommend.
You get what you pay for, however manners cost nothing!!! The staff were extremely rude! Due to have quiet they were, you'd expect them to be grateful to have customers instead of making us feel like a burden!
