The best food options (wrap sandwiches, full plate lunch/ dinner selection, & burger/fries/pizza options. You will not find better prices per item anywhere. The fish is the higher priced items: $2/ fillet, $4.35/ Salmon fillet. This is the main place where I eat dinner for around $6-$10.
I no longer stress about where to eat for lunch or dinner. I am so thankful for the Reef dining facility and the awesome workers there.
This place does NOT support the claim Air Force has better food than the Navy. Pretty similar to our shore side galleys and charges alacarte too.
I am a civilian worker @ hurbs. I get carry out salad and mainline 2x a week. Great salad bar and main line is the best.
Ask HR for a triple. Bring your whole squadron at 1800!

For a little over six bucks you're getting a buffet with dozens of different dishes and a roast beef every lunch. It isn't fine dining, but beating it in a military DFAC would be hard to do.
The Reef was once the greatest dining facility in the Air Force, hands down. It is now one of the most mediocre. Breakfast is OK, lunch is pretty bad, and dinner is awful with mostly leftovers from lunch.
This place is pretty good, and buffet style.
But, they will kick you out if you're, sweating. This can be inconvenient if you live all the way on the other side of base and don't have a car to get there on the weekend, so you walk 4 miles in desert heat conditions. Then you finally make it only for them to turn you away. :|
