We stopped at the pub of the hotel for a beer, and we entered a very nice and authentic Scottish pub, with customers asking us where we were from, and what we had visited so far! Very friendly service, fair prices, and very warm atmosphere!
Clean, friendly, lovely food. Excellent value for money and they didn't even burn a chip! ????. Ideal position for Bristol, airport and cheddar caves. Easy to find off A38. Cosy atmosphere after a long drive.
This family run hotel and pub is absolutely wonderful, delivering the very best in Scottish hospitality. We were warmly welcomed by Rab and the team when we stayed for a weekend break as 2 couples. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, bright, spacious and very comfortable. The fluffy white Terry towelling robes provided for our use during the stay, was such a lovely luxury touch. There is a nice relaxed feel in the pub too, which is well stocked with an incredible selection of gins and lagers. Nothing was ever any trouble for Rab, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the most special stay, he is such a fantastic host - so cheery and friendly. The hotel has been refurbished with great care by the team and I love the train station themed touches throughout. The kitchen is not yet open but when it does I’m sure it will be a fantastic addition to this beautiful hotel.
An amazing stay at this pub. Nick was great as a host, the room was spacious, wifi worked well, and it was an easy location. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I have been in to the Redhall several times since the new management took over. They have made some amazing changes in the last year. Liane's home cooking is delicious. It is rare to find genuinely homemade food in a pub but you will find it here. I went in with my husband and baby boy and they were very accommodating with a high chair and blending some food for us. Very reasonable prices. Craig is very welcoming through in the bar. And they have an AWESOME smoke shelter with rocking chairs and fairy lights. Worth a visit.
I haven't reviewed on here for a while, but I felt this was worth mentioning. I usually stay in B&Bs as I travel extensively throughout the North, but I was looking at short notice for somewhere within easy driving from Aberdeen and I found this place. It ticks all the boxes. (Well nearly all the boxes) The welcome and help from the owners was great. As was the room. The food was really good and the whole experience was excellent. And it was great value for money. To find such a place within close driving distance of Aberdeen is great. I will certainly be back.
Don't normally do this but felt the need after reading a previous comment. Stayed at the Redhall for over 18 months with my workmate whilst working on Mearns Academy in Laurencekirk and could not have been happier with the hotel, the bar, the locals and the owners. The place isn't the Hilton but they have never claimed to be, but their beds are comfy, food is great and they serve a cracking pint! Have stayed good friends with both Michael and Sam and would recommend the place to anybody. I know its the first place i'll call if I'm ever working in Aberdeen again ;-)
