Stayed here at the weekend for family function. The room was spotless, plenty of hot water for showers and breakfast was cooked to order and delicious.||Staff are welcoming. They cater for functions and the buffet they provided was plentiful, freshly prepared and the atmosphere very friendly.||I have had lunch here on a separate occasion and the food was fresh, hot and extremely well priced. It is a proper rural public house, with open fires. Will definitely be calling again.
Stayed here for two nights, rooms basic but clean and very comfortable beds and pillows. Very relaxed atmosphere and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Had food while staying here too, which was also enjoyableand good value for money (homemade chips cooked in beef dripping!! yum!). Well done for making this such a homely place :-) Will definatley return when visiting family again.
A friendly welcome and superb food, great value for money; what more could you want would recommend to anyone. Not posh just honest down to earth with a warm welcoming open fire. Had the steak pie and the fish and chips all the food was homemade and cooked to perfection give it a try.
The Red Lion is a good pub to go to in a nice setting. The owners are very friendly and do there upmost to keep it looking nice. We need to support this pub. It has been shut for far too long with the Covid, highly recommended.
Took the family for a meal and it was lovely. I would recommend the fish and chips as their kitchen is equipped as a chip shop. You will not be disappointed as they have small and large portions. I will visit again or even pop by for a takeaway
I'm not a local but visiting family who live close by, they said the local pub did takeaway so we ordered...the chips are to die for! The prices are incredibly reasonable and it's great to see the local pub come alive! Keep it going guys :-D
Well what can I say my parents came up to visit and booked a double room with breakfast only 50 pounds and they loved it,clean tidy spacious room tea & coffee making facility's in a lovely on-suite room which was bright ,airy with fresh ironed bedding.||Had a meal for 10 of us at night which was equally as good ||Thank you they will be back
