Four star for caricature going back 60 years in time worth a visit and drink prices good . no food drink only crisps and peanuts.
An incredible pub, part of our national heritage, like stepping back in time 70+ years. Great ales, no food, but atmosphere and a warm welcome by the spoonful. A must visit.
Wonderful pub, full of atmosphere with incredible wartime memorabilia and vintage pub games.
Great cosy local pub filled with history! It’s like stepping back in time, the posters on the wall are from the Second World War. Been in the same family for many years. Friendly staff and locals. A little fire was blazing as you walk in, games available to play, beer (local ales and cider) and wine available. Drinks only pub. A must visit!
A quirky little pub which transports you back in time. A real ale drinkers dream on this visit Easter Ale by Rother Valley Brewery and a The Pardoners The canterbury Ales.
Tenterden Cider. A large beer garden.
And most import £3.30 a pint.
The pub also has Toad in The Hole a traditional Sussex pub game.
Give it a visit you wont be dissapointed.
this is one of the best pub's I've been to for many years, it's like stepping back in time, the pub hasn't changed much since the second world war with original posters warning of possible coming invasion, great beer but NO larger, no music and no slot machine, just the way it was in the 1940s also if you want food, forget it, just chrips, having said that I can highly recommend as staff are extremely welcoming and you can sit there taking in the atmosphere of this 100% authentic pub
Lovely little pub, been there a couple of times now, took my grandson with me today (24) he absolutely loved it, it takes you back at least 40 to 50 years, maybe more as Imn only a youngster (68) ha ha
This pub is unique and is also so much more. You are walking into living history it's like stepping back in time. Superb real ales at excellent prices to. ???? can't wait to return, it's an amazing place with a wonderful atmosphere and very friendly customers and land lady.
