This place changed in recent months from Molly Brown's to Red Hen Cafe. So we came to try it out and it was pretty good. I decided to try a burger even though I was leaning towards breakfast. The burger was okay. It was fresh, thick and juicy. But I would give it a 7 out of 10. The service was amazing and the atmosphere very nice. It totally has a country feel to it and that's pretty cool. When I come back I'll be trying out some breakfast which I'm sure will not disappoint.
2nd time coming here and we love it. It’s been added to our must stops on our way to Vegas. The food is fresh and delicious. It has a homie environment and the portions are very generous. The mended photos are from 4-25-24
Amazing little diner ! Stopped on my way to Calico and had some great brunch! Portions are really huge, and the girls serving are awesome and kind. Such a great atmosphere!
Food, Decor, Service... all great!! Even had excellent vegan breakfast options. We traveled the entire Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and this was the best restaurant food of the trip. No joke. Don't pass this one up. It's in the middle of nowhere, so keep your eyes open. Very family friendly place with great food.
This was a fantastic place to stop for lunch on our way through. The roast beef sandwich with sweet potato fries was delicious, the meat was juicy and flavorful. Our server was so friendly and went out of her way to make us feel like we were visiting a friend’s house. I loved the touch of having coloring books and buckets of crayons to keep kids occupied. The decor was charming and added to the farm house feel.

The portions and value of the food was amazing! Theresa was our waitress and was equally amazing. The restaurant is definitely off the beaten path but was overwhelmingly worth the trip out Route 66. I will definitely go here again and would recommend the Red Hen to anyone looking for delicious food, awesome service, and great value!
Stopped here for a late breakfast after visiting a nearby attraction.
The food was good and plentiful.
Our server Sharon was brilliant and being the "Original Gangster" having worked here for so long, her local knowledge helped us refine the next few days of our trip.
There is also an old cart out front and a historic route 66 sign for photo opportunities.
Would highly recommend and revisit.
