Loved this place. So unique in decor and the menu items. Fantastic service. I would definitely be back. The truffle fries were very heavy with the bbq brisket, so I’m glad I got the refreshing side salad. My friend couldn’t finish the fries. Definitely get the eggs with the runny yolk. Make sure you make reservations.
I had an amazing meal here. Upon arriving, I loved the ambiance, of the main dining room, it’s modern/ industrial with a stylish decor that feels warm and welcoming. We were led to the bar area which feels like a luxurious gastro pub. The menu is creative and enticing, with so many provocative options I had a tough time deciding what to try. My friend and I decided on several option to share with the recommendations of the server who was enthusiastic to help us. He was great. We opted on their trumpet mushroom dusted scallops and the lamb lasagna. I highly recommend these dishes, they were both prepared to perfection. We also ordered a side of roasted cauliflower which was extremely tasted, but a bit undercooked for my taste and the cheese grits that were just so good!!!! I need to go back and try other items because that entire menu needs to be experienced.
We go out to eat to with the hope that the meal provides a "how did they pull off something so delicious" moment and The Ravenous Pig delivered that every bite across every dish from the starters to the entrees to the dessert. The atmosphere is relaxed, industrial, and clean without being overly formal. We felt at home in shorts and a baseball hat, despite the dishes being served coming out with attention to detail in their presentation. Every element of each dish felt well considered and intentional with the technical details well executed. Everything was bursting with flavor. Our server made great suggestions and was willing to help guide us.
An important note is that they use fresh local ingredients and as such their menu changes daily and the center portion of the menu (special items) will sell out and did for our 8:45pm reservation for 2 people on a Tuesday.
We got the bison carpacchio, truffle risotto, and lamb tongue for starters. For entrees, the steak frites w/ fries and the crab pasta. And for dessert, the carrot cake and pig tails. Finally, the drinks were the bacon bourbon old fashioned with the meal and a Hungarian dessert wine with dessert. I could elaborate in detail why each of these dishes was excellent, but trust me that this deserves the Bib Gourmand Michelin Guide designation that it has. This food feels like you are getting what you pay for (if not punching up). I'd highly recommend any of those dishes, but given the spread of dishes I'd be confident saying that the whole menu is likely to deliver a wonderful experience. Highly recommend a stop here.
This place has 4.5 stars at the time of writing this review, but it certainly deserves to be higher (hence this review). Enjoy!
During my visit to town, I had the pleasure of dining with family at their favorite local restaurant, and it truly exceeded expectations. The service, from our arrival throughout the entire meal, was nothing short of fantastic. The staff and management exhibited genuine hospitality that added to the overall wonderful experience.
While some specials were limited due to high demand, I seized the opportunity to indulge in the dry-aged NY STRIP, and it was truly amazing. The flavors were exquisite, and the preparation was nothing short of perfection. The carefully curated selection of wines perfectly complemented our meal, and the diverse bourbon offerings provided a delightful choice for a cocktail or two to cap off our evening.
The ambiance, service, and culinary delights left me thoroughly satisfied. Without hesitation, I give this establishment two enthusiastic thumbs up, a well-deserved 5-star rating, and my highest recommendation. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
Orlando eatery with class and quality cuisine. Dress up or stay comfortable and enjoy some local cuisine. With a wide variety of drinks and menu options anyone can find their fill at the Ravenous Pig. Pro Tip: Steak Frites are delectable.
Fantastic service, food, and ambiance. Seated promptly for 5:00pm reservations in the smaller dining room between the main dining area and the bar. It was really cozy and felt like we had our own private space. Everything we ordered was delicious! Perfect presentation, portions, temperature, flavor, etc. Sampled a couple of house-brewed beers on tap and decided on a gose, which was also excellent. Service was impeccable and made the experience even better. Highly recommend; we loved everything about it. My husband tends to prefer ordering food at home from a delivery service over eating out, and even he said that this was the best possible restaurant experience you could have. We’ll be back for sure.
The Ravenous Pig! If you haven't dined here you are absolutely missing out! I celebrated my birthday here and from the parking, through the hostess to the server - everything was amazing! Parking is complimentary and valet. The host and hostess - friendly, super attentive and nice. I was recognized for my birthday and given the birthday "menu" (same menu with the wish of happy birthday on top) - felt special! Then we were seated immediately for our reservation and on the little podium overlooking the restaurant - again felt special! Our server was phenomenal - she was knowledgeable, attentive but not overwhelming, quick, polite ! Just the server you would dream of when you are out celebrating an event! Let me tell you about the food now! Order everything! Because everything is delicious! Btw they change their menu every now and then. The Pork Belly appetizer - hooked, the best pork belly we have had! The lamb tongue - you have never had a lamb tongue that good - trust me! The bone marrow - I'm usually not the one to order it at a restaurant because you get so little for the price. Not here - two piece femur bones full of fresh, spiced to perfection bone marrow! I'm in love! The steak fries - oh.so.good! The tile fish - I wasn't a fan but my hubby loved it. Do you have a sweet tooth? - the chocolate panna Cotta is out of this world! The citrus tart - the best combination of flavors one can expect from a tart- a flavor so exquisite... I can write a book on the Ravenous Pig and how happy we were with our time there. Thank you for a delicious birthday ????
Afternoon an afternoon of hiking everyone in my group was very hungry. We all agreed on BBQ and arrived at exactly 3:00pm and the host informed us brunch had just finished. We agreed to proceed to back area known as the beer garden.
The food menu is very limited which was disappointing to our very hungry group but the food itself was outstanding. Most of our group ordered the smash burger and it was very delicious and juicy. The French fries were well seasoned and cooked. I personally did not have a craft beer but everyone said they were all good.
Disappointing to limit lunch menu so early but judging by the quality and flavor of the burgers, we will definitely be back to sample the rest when we are back in town. Outdoor atmosphere is great and relaxing.
