Lovely pub to visit for a function.
Food lovely and perfect sized portions.
I would say they may have been overwhelmed with the party sizes as food came out at lots of different times, whilst I finished my main, someone else was just being served but, overall, was lovely proper pub cooked food.

we had our wedding meal here on the 28th of july for 23 people and the food and the service were absolutely amazing! everyone commented on how nice the food was. We really couldn't have asked for it to be any better. all the staff were so lovely too. huge thank you to you all
Been going many times for a traditional Sunday roast, had been getting takeaways during lockdown but it’s so much better served. Sometimes found portion size too much that we often get a kid’s portion with extras. Absolutely perfect, friendly staff and always obliging with whatever request we come up with. Always cooked fresh, so a wait is inevitable. Ring ahead, book a time, give your order and it can be quicker. This is also recommended to make sure there’s a slot as it can get busy with it being so popular. If you’re prepared to be flexible, you won’t be disappointed. The added bonus of being beside the station is you get longer here than in the town before having to leave for the train back.
Met with friends for a Sunday lunch. The meat was cooked perfectly. For the price of £9.95 a head you cannot do much better.

Took a long time even though we was the only ones eating in at the time. Food was OK side of onion rings was the star of the meal. but all went cold very quick due to being cold in the pub quite grubby and tatty interior. Staff friendly enough but other people in pub was using a lot of swear words which was a lot of the time we was there we wouldn't go again mainly due to atmosphere and how cold it was in there.
The worst burger of my entire life, I will say and dry as a stone... They don't have the most basic drinks in a pub. The carpet stank and it was terribly cold. And they hadn't changed the fryer oil in a long time. We waited almost an hour, and there were very few people. But the worst, by far, the waitress. She was terribly rude and impolite. I don't understand how a person like that works serving customers. Better choose another place.
