Only popped in for a drink, very friendly staff....offered me a small piece of home made ginger cake even though I'd already eaten but it was beautiful and a nice gesture. Hope to return once my house sale completes.
This cafe now called Postcard cafe in Clun. Closed Mondays only now. Open 10am till 6pm.
A prime location by the bridge, The Post Card Cafe could be loads better. Prices seem reasonable and the quality is good, at least for the homemade cakes.
However, service is unhurried and the small number of staff seem unequipped to deal with busy times.
Gasping for a tea and some homemade cake, we came across this shop. Chose fruit cake and coffee. Unfortunately, coffee and walnut cake had no coffee or walnuts and the fruit cake was dry and tastless. I did tell the lady in the shop and she deducted the price of a tea. This cafe has prime position and needs to taste their food before selling it. Also, don't put scones in the window in the hot sun, it dries them out. If you are a new business, smarten up your cafe, use china tea pots.
Putting a bit of icing sugar and half a strawberry doesn't hide a bad piece of cake.

No washroom facilities - public facilities 60m away across the free car park outside.
Such a tremendous location by the Bridge but the cafe does nothing to be any better than average. The usual limited fayre of cheese, ham, tuna sandwiches / toasties / jacket spuds. Slightly expensive for what's on offer.
Lovely lady serving who was helpful and friendly. Tea was fine but latte was not as expected but I did drink it!! Cake was only ok too. Nice relaxing atmosphere.
Came all the way up from West Cornwall for a coffee and a toastie, was not disappointed
Very nice cafe. Friendly staff. Cakes are fresh and home made. Nice view of the river and the old bridge.
