What a beautiful place for lunch!
We had some time to kill before our run tasting and decided to get lunch. Eat before alcohol, always a good idea.
We were seated at the edge of the lawn area and the staff were prompt and so friendly.
Ordered a burger and fried Brie and both were AMAZING!
Would definitely come back!
What a wonderful way to end our vacation. We have enjoyed the Luau here many times, but this is the first time that we've had dinner at The Plantation by Gaylords, and it was lovely. We were seated at a romantic table for 2 with beautiful views, enjoyed cocktails, the fried brie (a must!!), soups, our entrees, and dessert. Everything was delicious, and the waiter (Jeff is amazing) timed each course perfectly. It was a really special evening and we will definitely do it again.
Ask for Amanda, she is the best waitress we had all week! Her recommendations were spot on!
The food was superb! You must try the fried Brie appetizer. The setting is the most beautiful we experienced while in Kauai that wasn't waterfront.

Consistency is key in the hospitality industry, and this experience was consistently bad from start to finish. A surly hostess had us wait several minutes for a table, which was available the entire time, brought us over to an incorrectly set table where we waited more than 20 minutes, for our rushed server to acknowledge us.
We were at the restaurant almost an hour before our drinks even came, and she attempted to solicit our entrée orders before even bringing our initial appetizers and drinks. Silverware wasn’t brought, orders, forgotten, and she had an attitude the entire time.extremely disappointed in this very negative experience. Also, see photos, very weird to see the food runner, giving a back massage for several minutes to a manager who never came out and engaged with the dining room.
And a 2% credit card fee to boot. So very bad.
Beautiful location, great food, wonderful service. Kids menu was great also. We came here 13 years ago for our honeymoon and it was so nice to come back with the kids - it's just as good as I remembered it.
The Plantation House is very special place. The venue itself is so beautiful and nicely appointed. Everything about it screams class, welcoming Hawaiian plantation home…but I wish the food was as good as the service and atmosphere.
Our waitress turned down the light above us so that we could see the sunset reflected in the clouds.
This is one classy place with a fantastic ambiance and style. One can feel the history in these walls. The food is sensational! My taste buds are dancing!
This was an amazing meal after the Rum Safari. We had the Portuguese Stew and Tiger Prawns that were stuffed with crab on gnocchi. It was to die for. We also had a tenderloin appetizer that was so good. We loved the food here and service was better than most places we’ve been too so far.
