Best KPortal Reviews
Dined here before the name change, was nice then and is really good now. Paninis lovely, very good pot of tea and lots of it, nice coffee. Busy and it took a while to get our food but it didn’t matter as there is such a nice atmosphere. Would recommend booking a table in the busier times of the year. So nice to find a good place for lunch not far from home. Definitely recommended.
I've been in a few times to both eat-in and take away. Everything I've had is tasty, and the staff are lovely. It's usually fairly busy (I mean that in a positive way), so there's seating if you want to eat in. A perfect little place to sit in and have a breather.
Very cutesy tea shop. The cafe was full but was given great customer service.
Ordered tea for 2 and it was a big pot , also ordered deserts. 1 of the deserts was banana and cinnamon cake, it was cinnamon heavy. I love cinnamon and would happily order it again.
Highly recommend!
If you are looking for somewhere to stop for a home-cooked, delicious and satisfying lunch, then this is the place. I would imagine all provisions for breakfast, elevenses or a late lunch would be equally delightful and hit the spot.
I can say this as the service is second to none, the food is cooked by the staff, one of whom is mum to the owner. This lady's commitment to the customer, the staff and to her daughter is second to none, sincere and honest.
We had soup, stovies, sandwich along with coffees, scones and shortbread. Everything was delicious.
This establishment is run by a real team of effective, efficient, focused staff who are straightforward, helpful and happy. The atmosphere is relaxing and a cafe where you would like to linger and I would definitely be a regular if I were lucky enough to live locally.
This is a real find for people who prefer to avoid fast-food outlets and supermarket packaged lunches.
Highly recommended on all aspects (especially the shortbread!)
We will be back again. Thank you!
Took some time to be served and done things a bit backwards...finished food before got drinks, but was nice. Not for a quick bite if that's what your looking for. - 2 bacon rolls a coffee and a hot chocolate was all we ordered. Friday morning, was 2 other people in when we arrived who had all been served, 2 or 3 other groups came in after us(seemed to be locals) few take outs while we were there too that seemed to take presidence for 2 out of the 3 staff - edited to give more info as requested. Always good your keen to improve. Thanks
We only popped in for a quick hot drink and ended up having brunch! My mum is vegetarian and was recommended the Lentil soup by the wonderful waitress. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. My daughter had scrambled eggs on toast and I had the breakfast bap ????. All items were delicious and it would have been rude to have left without sampling there delicious apple and cinnamon scones. We were made to feel so welcome, I also had my 4 month old baby with me. Assistance was give by the waitress by opening the second door and we were seated in an area that comfortably accommodated my pushchair. I was offered a highchair but declined the offer. The experience was so good that we returned the following day. On that day I discovered that it's a family run business. Honestly they were all so nice and super welcoming. I can not recommend this cafe enough. Thank you and we look forward to coming again soon.
