The Palm court is beyond beautiful. Very family friendly. Not as formal as you think but it was fun to dress up. Took my grandmother for Afternoon Tea. She ordered The Central Park Tea with Jasmine Pearls. I ordered The Plaza Signature tea with Chai & an Island Fever. The Moroccan Spice Lamb was a favorite among us. I thought the Maine Lobster & Caviar was outstanding. I love seafood. The scones with the lime and berry preserves were delicious. All of the sweets & pastries were amazing. The New York Apple, Myer Lemon Pound Cake, Hazelnut Rocher & Salted Caramel Tart were some of the best desserts Ive ever had. It was expensive but it was a lovely experience. I would definitely return.
Good food, not the best we've had for the price tag, the prices were expected to be on the higher end given that the restaurant is in the landmark Plaza hotel. Omelette and house crab cake Benedict were okay, nothing really special. Service was good but a bit weird that we were asked for our last name and phone number prior to being served. Good to try once, just for the experience, but definitely not coming back for breakfast, there are much better options in the city for reasonable prices.
I would recommend sitting at the bar to soak in the atmosphere. The setting is gorgeous, you're in the The Plaza New York so if you're whining about cost, don't come here - it's an iconic memorable one off experience and the bar staff were fantastic to me. The Winter Sangria will be a drink I think about for a long long time. Delicious.
Very delicious food, pricey for sure but makes up for it with the atmosphere, delicious drinks, and quality of ingredients. Nothing was dirty and the staff was very personable and attentive to all needs. I wish that it wasn’t by person for high tea because it gets quite expensive and it is a lot of food for one person to finish… you can take the remainder to go which we then finished throughout the rest of the day.

If you need to celebrate a life event, the Palm Court is your place. The Palm Court is located at the prestigious Plaza Hotel. The staff were so kind, the food was small but incredible and beautifully displayed, and the tea was delightful. I highly recommend the Lavender Oolong tea. It was so fresh and had the best aroma. The Du Hammam tea was okay, but it didn't carry the same aroma and left an aftertaste.
The Central Park Tea option was more than enough food for two people. By the time we made it to the dessert layer, we were more than an hour in and pushed through.
It's an experience! Enjoy it and afterward walk it all off taking in the sites of NYC!
Located inside the iconic Plaza Hotel across from Central Park and Fifth Ave. Took my son for their holiday tea time, the valet was hard to get into, but once we made it to the front they made us feel welcomed, the check-in was easy and friendly, the staff was very caring and professional, the tea bites and experience was just wonderful. I recommend trying it at least once to be a part of their 100+ year history and your memories.
Had a wonderful experience at the Plaza Hotel for their afternoon tea. Went with my girlfriends for our annual tea and were served by Kabir our waiter. He was absolutely fantastic, has been there for 30+ years, told us famous stories and who he has seen, and helped us with our tea choices. It’s always great to talk to the servers there as many have such fun New Yorker stories. Get the ‘Plaza Signature Afternoon tea’ and add champagne brut (very dry) or champagne rose (quite sweet) to your meal. Expensive ~$200 in total but worth it for a special girls date ♥️????????.
