The lady that answers the phone and rings customers up is incredibly short and standoffish. She made me and my wife, who picked up the food, feel as if we were inconveniencing her by ordering food. The food was decent even though i stated that i wanted the beef and broccoli but no other veggies and they took the broccoli with it. I feel as if we pay $56 for four egg rolls two dinners one with extra meat and crab wontons then the food should be good and they shouldn't have an attitude like they can't stand the fact that we actually ordered. She really seems like she doesn't like her job
Genuinely impressed by this restaurant.
I had the Mongolian beef and my friend had the Hunan chicken. Both were delicious. I have Mongolian beef everywhere I can to compare, and this was definitely above average. I'd go as far as to say it could be the top in recent memory.
Both items were extremely fresh, the Mongolian beef was shockingly crispy which is something I never expect but always welcome.
The egg rolls were a good as all the reviews say. I'd say the only place I've been that has them beat on egg rolls is Chop Suey Inn in Homewood. Still definitely above average.
I'm not in Trussville very often but I'll be back here when I am.
You will never taste Chinese food like this anywhere else. I travel for work and this is the best I've ever had. Come by, give them a try.
The service was friendly and prompt. Loved the egg drop soup. Food is much better than the buffet/dine-in places.
It's fine. Better than LQ Asian . Don't go there. Yu Garden is pretty good. But they close up shop sometimes just outta the blue. I suggest going to Shangri La in Eastwood. They are the best.
I have been going to the palace for well over 20 years, the food has ALWAYS been great, I highly suggest the egg rolls, sweet and sour soup, sesame chicken, and Mongolian beef. The staff is family run, the food is great, they have recently updated their look. Its a hole in the wall place but the best around. If you stop by and want a little taste of everything try the appetizer platter with the dumplings, shrimp toast, egg rolls, and crab angels. Worth every penny!

The Palace has always been our goto Chinese restaurant for 20+ years.
I'm not sure if different cooks are working now or different owners, but the quality and quantity of our food wasn't anything like it's been in the past. Hot and sour soup was 95 percent liquid and had no mushrooms, no tofu, or bamboo shoots. Chicken fried rice was very dry, and egg rolls were way overcooked and inedible. Asked for hot mustard for 6 people and was given a tiny cup the size of a single coffee creamer.
I’ve been a customer for several years and the food is always good. The egg rolls are the best I’ve had. However, in the last few years they have gotten skimpy on the chips/noodles you get with the hot and sour soup, especially on carry out orders. I understand times have been tough with inflation, but it has gotten a little ridiculous.
