Solid brunch spot just outside downtown Guerneville. Excellent location. You’re close to town but not in the crazy and also surrounded by cool plants and some big trees. I had the omelette and will definitely be going back to try other dishes. The potatoes aren’t your average brunch potatoes, but truly special.
I got a classic burger, pepper jack instead of beer cheese, cooked medium well. I have to say, every person I've talked to who works here is cheerful, friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. But back to the food. When I opened the box, I thought there weren't very many fries, but once I poured them onto a plate I realized I was wrong; it was that the box they came in was huge. This is my very favorite type of fry: squishy, bendy, with some substance to them. These fries were delicious, it was hard for me to slow down once I started on them. The burger is also really good. I'm not well versed in different types of breads, but theirs isn't the run of the mill hamburger bun. Whatever fancy bun they use really added to it. The toppings were a bit lacking (I would have wanted a few more pickles and more lettuce and tomato), but they're still pretty new. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Again, the burger looks kind of small, but only because it's enveloped by the bun. I'm looking forward to trying their portobello burger.
Ambiance was great, cute little patio area that is dog friendly. Staff was very nice! Brought water for our dogs without us asking, and followed up with us on a couple questions we had. Food was fantastic! Tritip torta was unbelievable!
We had the crispy veggie tacos which were excellent, with fresh asparagus and the very large portion of garlic fries. All very good. I enjoyed the giant redwoods growing from a small flowerbed in the garden
This place is never opened. Judy Couey sold it to the Oxbow owners. Judy Couey needs to reopen it under the old restaurant. Judy made the best hamburgers. Oxbow your not doing the community any good. Sell your restaurant. They do not even deserve one star.
How this place doesn't have a line out the door, I don't know. The cheesesteak was PHENOMENAL. My Oxbow burger was really good (could have used a little more spice for my liking). Mac and cheese was super creamy and awesome.
Nice place to eat out in a covered patio to visit with friends. Good was good.
Wonderful food- classics done very well! In addition, the staff is lovely and seems to truly care about the guest experience. Great dinner choice!
