Cheese ploughmans made fresh to take-away. Friendly and helpful staff. Not the cheapest but definately worth a try or more. Would recommend. Their carrot cake slices are worth a try.
A wonderful little place with nice people, delicious and fragrant baked goods. Bread with seeds is incredibly tasty. And even tastier buns with cheese ????
Absolutely useless in this place! Have now given it a chance on 3 separate occasions as wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Each time I've been in there they have what looks to be the scraps left - I am visiting at midday so not exactly late.
The food quality is very poor, the service is even poorer and the staff really don't want to be there. Stood chatting while you wait and eating while serving you.
Would avoid and go somewhere else.
I went in with a very cold and upset toddler asking if they had anything warm for sale. The lady behind the counter heated up a roll and gave it to us for free! Good people and places do exist.
Lovely bakery, excellent service and bakes where yummy. Ordered a pasty that was baking was told 5 minutes and lovely lady brought it to my car amazing customer service. ????
They are pretty much sold out by 12:30 every day.
I prefer their cornish pasties to anywhere else in the area. They do some fun variations on the regular sausage role also.
I wish they would sell London Cheesecakes, they don't but the coconut pyramids were good last week, the Christmas cake was good last month with a decent thickness of marzipan and crusty loaves are good.
After patiently queuing for a while the staff will let everyone who came in after me push in front. When I told them that I had in fact asked for a sandwich but they started serving other people the lady said that obviously I wasn't ready in the queue rather than apologising that she didn't realise that was the case, extremely rude really.
We are new to area and this is a short hike for us. We are tasting our way through everything, a new choice each visit. We have some favorites Viennese Fingers & Pasties. Coffee cake is great, carrot looks good, as do the bakewell tarts. Busy most weekends so go early if you need anything special or may be gone????
