Well run pub. Dog friendly????.
Extremely clean throughout???? Special compliments to the friendly, welcoming landlady. Doesn't do food meals but advised us that bought food from a local shop could be brought in the pub(Nice touch that????).
Recommended.
We popped in here for lunch. The staff are lovely and friendly and it also welcomes dogs. We wondered what lunch would be like as we were the only customers on a Thursday lunchtime, but we were very pleasantly surprised. I had a ploughman's salad and it was not only beautifully presented,but full of fresh and tasty ingredients. My husband had nachos with spicy chicken and he was very impressed. Believe me, that's hard to achieve. Well done to the staff and thanks very much.

Driving to Scarborough for a hoilday we stopped off here it was absolutely ???? % excellent we were made to feel at home had really good food and had my favourite wine staff were very polite and chatty if we ever find this place again will definitely be visiting thank you ????
Brilliant bar maid, very helpful and friendly
We called ahead to reserve a table and I was disappointed to arrive 10 minutes later to no table reserved and the young girl at the bar replied ‘you reserved a table? Yeah that was probably me that you spoke to on the phone’ and didn’t look like she wanted to fit us in. Then I only asked for a menu as she asked if we were ready to order when we first walked in and got our drinks at the bar, and we got a reply of ‘well it’s just a Sunday dinner..’ Lovely Sunday lunch in the end though, but probably wouldn’t pay £14 for it again and think they need to teach their staff how to smile.
