Our local chip shop was closed for a few weeks so decided to give this place a go (no pun intended).
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the shop is very clean, if a little dated.
I would say if your want you fish and chips in a hurry tho, probably not the best place to visit as there is nothing ready and is cooked to order unlike many other places.
Prices are a little on the high side, but the food is good and worth a go.
I was very impressed with the food from here, highly recommended. The fish and chips were cooked freshly to order, and both were cooked just right.
Nice crunchy batter on the fish with fresh, tender cod inside. The chips were nice and thick cut and had a crispy outside with soft potato inside. Even after a 15 minute drive home they hadn’t gone soggy like they tend to from some other places.
Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £11.80 which is more than most charge local places for the same meal, but the quality of food was worth the price and the portion sizes were generous.

Excellent... really good chips.. crisp & tasty.. still fluffy inside. Lots of flavour.. Fish moist & meaty.. batter lovely... (our dog goes totally bonkers for one of their sausages). + really friendly staff.. Plain shop, but always good value..
Really nice owners, really nice food.
We slipped in just as they where closing one night from an event we were part of and they were totally happy to continue to serve us and cook everything fresh.
For my friends first experience of fish and chips (He's from another country), he thought it was amazing, myself being from a Sea side area I thought they were also really good and tasty.

The food is delicious! The chips are soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, just the way they should be! The fish was fresh and tender. Customer service is friendly, welcoming and attentive - we'll be coming back, thank you!
The best fish and chips I've had in years!!! The food was reasonably priced and not greasy. Especially the chips which were freshly cut and fried, with the prefect crisp on the outside and fluffiness inside. Definitely worth a try!!
