Great pub with a wide selection of ales (6 or 7) mostly blue monkey but about a quarter are localish guests, all kept well. Large number of boxes cyder available (and not all flavoured). Pub itself gets busy inside but has loads of little cubby holes and out buildings in the garden, would recommend. Blue monkey gin of various flavours also sold here.
The pub is great, we were there for a wedding reception in the upstairs room. Perfect for parties and get togethers. The bar staff were kept busy and were really friendly and helpful.
We did get a drink downstairs first and the staff there were friendly too.
This is another dog friendly pub, we will be visiting again with my dog Molly later in the month. Thank you for being dog friendly and making our special friends day absolutely perfect x
Came by this place by accident, saw it was a Blue Monkey pub so had to go in and have a couple. Warm friendly atmosphere and very easy going with friendly staff. Great range of Blue Monkey cask ales on too with a couple of guests.
We of course went straight for the stouts and they were fantastic. Free tasters were also offered.
I recomend the pork scratchings they come in a big bag with a pot of dipping sauce too.
Well priced and friendly. Will be back.
sausage roll cold but good and nigd and scotch egg were just what we wanted:: that there was nothing else didn't bother us. Beer excellent but watch out some are much stronger than you might expect. Styled as a traditional working class pub, but I suspect the clientele are actually quite upscale
Nice friendly micro pub, plenty of ales to choose from.
One of Loughborough's best pubs. Good atmosphere, brilliant selection of drinks and the Pork Pie platters are excellent.
If you'd like a quieter night, especially Sundays, get in contact as they usually have a small acoustic or rock band playing on certain evenings.
Certain live sports are played in the upstairs room when not hired out for parties etc., and is limited to that room - no massive screens in every room in the pub!
Lovely beer garden with plenty of benches, as well as two covered smoking areas. Very recommended.

Great sociable pub serving great beer. Gets very busy but that just adds to the atmosphere if you want a friendly night out.
