Visited at 11.35 am and all three of us wanted something to eat, coffee and some tap water as it was a hot day. Couldn't have anything to eat as breakfast items finished being served at 11.30 and lunch items started at 12.00. No tap water, only bottled at a cost, in my view tap water should be made freely available in all eating establishments, very poor. The sugar and sweeteners brought in a small, grubby plastic container with used empty sachets in. Expensive, poor service and customer experience, certainly won't be back.
Really friendly staff, very small place (with small coffees!) but felt very welcome, and in the summer would come back for a pint in the sun!
Thoroughly average
Pros: nice outdoors space, which is at a premium for eateries and bars around Whitby. Nice sausage. Hash browns looked very tasty. Coffee was good and staff were chatty and friendly.
Cons: They couldn't add a hash brown to my order because reasons. So I couldn't sample them. No spread on my my bap, and no sauce was offered, so it was all a bit dry.
Would visit again!
Called in for a takeaway coffee and returned it straight away. Firstly the size of the takeaway cup was ridiculously small for £4. Second the coffee was far too hot and made with coffee that wasn't freshly pulled off the machine which made it very bitter. If you're going to sell coffee and haven't got a clue how to make it then get a push button machine.
Paid over £3 for the smallest cup of coffee, in a chipped cup. Try to support small local businesses but wish we’d gone to Costa. Chose this place so we could sit outside in the sunshine but that turned out to be the only positive about the place ????
Was very much impressed when I dropped in for lunch here. The staff are very friendly polite and helpful and couldn't do enough for me. The food was excellent and to be honest it was very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed and I'd certainly recommend this place without hesitation to anyone who is seeking a great value for money dining experience.
The Peroni lager was awful , the glass smelt of washing up liquid , when told to the waitress they didn’t care and not even felt sorry . It was also very expensive no one have tried to solve the problem , never again
Good drinks menu, great location, nice friendly staff.
