The Office is an absolute must for those genuine Ale and Cider lovers. The selection of local produce is fantastic. We also loved how quaint and small this pub is, which makes it a really intimate and quirky setting.
It’s off the beaten track but so glad we came across it.
We can’t wait to go back - five stars.
A cosy, busy place. There was cheese and biscuits available on a Thursday for either a donation or bring some of your own to add to the table.

Fantastic micropub! Great beers, great people, great atmosphere, and great prices! The best pub by far for miles! Andrea is exactly the sort of person you need to run a pub like this: dedicated to the quality of the beer and customer service. Discovered this place on Saturday; they had a perfectly kept Two by Two, which won me over immediately! Cannot recommend this little jewel highly enough. Will be back, with friends, as soon as possible.
Great selection of beer, bit cramped downstairs as its very popular but you can always get served, plenty of extra seating upstairs. Staff are always great, the beer is superb ????
Very very good pub. Plenty of well-kept good beers on cask and keg, friendly and rapid service. Being a tourist I felt very welcome.
Great beers, lovely courtyard! Had a lovely almasty here. Great selection. Wylam, Rigg and Furrow, Two by Two, Flying Gang and Almasty. Lovely owner too. Particularly nice in summer in the courtyard, given it is quite tiny inside! Only suggestion is it could be modernised/brighter inside.
Lovely little bar in a quiet corner near the footbridge. Very friendly and helpful staff, busy inside but lovely patio seating in the sunshine. Great beer, and dog friendly.
