The pub has been through a few management transitions over the last couple of years but it looks like it's settling down now. The latest manager (Josh) keeps a good pint and regularly talks to his customers about guest ale options.
Pub grub is the latest addition. When a match (football, rugby and most other sports) is on there is a offer of a pint with chicken wings, which seemed to go down well with those who tried them.
Last night was the first time we ate there and we both had steak and ale pie. The pie was large, tasty and the pastry was flaky as it was cooked in an oven. There was a choice of fat or thin chips or mash and, because I've never grown up, I was offered baked beans instead of peas. The portion of garlic bread was enough to share. Our food was good value.
It's nice to have an addition to the other current excellent eateries in the village.
We had the back room for a birthday celebration they let us do what we wanted with decorations and sorting food as well
It's an ok pub, nice and warm, friendly landlord, average selection of beers. Great place to go for a quick drink after a long walk.
Just finished our take out valentine dinner. As good a valentine dinner as weve had! Good quality, good portions, good choice of menu. Well presented, lovely touch the bottle of fizz in a red bag with a red rose tucked in. Highly recommend trying their next event meal. Excellent value for money. Thanks for our romantic meal locked in..... hope to see you in person again soon.

The oddies is the best local around. Always welcoming for all, amazing food and company. The children can play and the adults can relax in the lovely garden setting and live music is always planned in for that extra entertainment. Home from home
Amazing staff, service and Sunday roast! Extremely friendly staff and service is lightning speed, food tastes amazing and couldn't be better! Five Stars extremely well deserved. Honestly couldn't be better! Food was luxury and staff just amazing!!!
Great little pub. Friendly locals. Well kept beer and food is very well priced. Tuesdays always good fun with high quality live music ????
