Well, I have a new favourite restaurant in Carlisle. The service was 10/10 and the atmosphere was perfect. Me and my wife ordered pollo alla aglio pizza and penne salsiccia piccante which had a kick! This was a combo meal and it was beautiful! We also had a cocktail each instead of a pudding.. gerry the giraffe and the tipsy cow went down a treat. We ended up staying for over 3 hours with the in laws. I look forward to trying the roast dinner. I have heard it's a knockout !

Food was very good, but overpriced, wife had to pay extra for thin fries rather than chips or potatoes and veg, and that's all she got, a bowl of fries, I would have thought that would work out cheaper? Place was half empty on a bank holiday weekend, maybe there's a reason.

Good choice on the menu

I don’t normally leave 5 ⭐️ reviews and I’ve eaten in plenty of nice restaurants (most of them a rip off down south) but this has to be one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time, paired with the most friendly staff.

To go into specifics I had the rack of lamb, which was cooked to perfection and the quality was outstanding. All of the veg and sides were also perfectly cooked, hot and delicious.

To top it all off the dessert selection is always the most important for me and I went for the Apple Tarte Tatin which was better than a one I had in a Michelin star restaurant. The presentation of all the 8 desserts we ordered was exquisite.

Lovely restaurant and lovely staff but the food was average for the very expensive price. Also the garlic bread could have been really nice with a real garlic butter or olive oil but not with garlic margarine. ???? also there was a broken stem of a glass under my grandsons chair which if he stood on could of been dangerous.

Our meal was outstanding .The roast beef so tendy and tasty , perfect roast potatoes very flavoursone vegetables with an also perfect yorkshire. The belly pork excellent , with amazing crackling , we would like tips on .Every element of the meal was beautufully cooked .

Brilliant place, good food at acceptable price. Lovely staff and very welcoming location. We will definitely go there again.

Good place for a meal, if you like what they serve. I have simple tastes so often just get the burger. Not tried the steak yet which is my usual go to as I wouldn't be able to eat a 16oz one in one go. Friendly staff though could possibly provide better training. The staff I asked for a coffee took payment then just went back to eating her own meal and drying glasses. It turned out she didn't know how to use the coffee machine. Relatively expensive for meals for the area but not overly so, and they are nice meals. They also cater for dietary restrictions. Parking isn't great.
