What a fabulous little pub. I called in out the blue after missing my bus back to Newcastle. Everyone was so friendly from the barman to the few customers who arrived after me. The beer is great & what made it even better was the fact there was no TV. I'd definitely recommend this pub if your in Rothbury. I'll definitely call in again when I'm next in Rothbury for a couple of post walk pints.
Small but friendly pub with a good selection of local beers. Inside and outside tables. Dogs welcomed. Friendly conversation and cozy surroundings. Easy to find just off the High Street.

What a fantastic little find. True definition of micropub. A delightful selection of excellent ales. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere.....only thing I don't understand is why this doesn't have a 5 star rating! 5 out of 5 from me and if we ever venture up this way again, we're certain to call in.

Easily the best pub in town. Friendly barman, nice choice of ale, warm clean and comfortable, full of ordinary folk enjoying their drinks. Wish we’d gone to this one first!
A lovely micro pub selling excellent beers where conversation is king!
This venue is classified as a micro pub and only sold alcohol and soft drinks. If this was what you were expecting then the staff made those who visited it made you most welcome.
It was also a dog friendly venue.
Proper pub with excellent beer, friendly staff and great customers. No piped music, just highly entertaining conversation. Bliss!
