My friend and me went to celebrate her birthday. It is a very beautiful place and the view is amazing, the weather was good that day . We had charcuterie board and fries, both yummy. Besides this, she a had a passion fruit drink without alcohol and I had a Garden Inferno or Inferno garden , but anyway , I didn’t like this drink at all. Champagne was perfect! I recommend this place and I will be back with my husband !
Very pleasant and chill ambiance when we went on a Thursday evening away from the busy hours of the weekend. Service to allow us in was slow possibly because it was a slow night during the week and staffing was limited. Cozy indoor ambiance and outdoor seating is good enough for a short stay. Spectacular views. We’re able to enjoy daylight on the rooftop before sunset. A crisp view of Detroit’s downtown. Had a couple of bites and signature cocktails upon the server’s recommendations. Highly recommend if you are able to visit outside of the weekend madness. Not sure what my impression would be during peak hours. For us it was perfect! Highly recommend
The monarch club is the penthouse with great views of the city. There are patios and some igloos in winter weather.
The atmosphere is very much a grab a drink after work crowd. There may have even been some people working from the bar, fun and professional.
There is a good variety of drink options and some great options for non-alcoholic liquids as well. There are some appetizers to join the table. The truffle fries are good and I really liked the pear and pesto flat bread pizza.
Went in on a Sunday as a walk-in! They didn’t have any servers available on the left side so we just ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and some food and had to expo our own plates and get our own glasses, which was fine. It was nice and peaceful but host was all over the place. They need to have two hosts or something just so the service could improve some more. I love going here and I will be back but for view and food! Charcuterie board was good and flatbread was amazing. Meatballs were great just a little too dry!
I’ve come to the Monarch club a couple times, and each time has always been a good experience. The drinks are great and the views are even better. The last time I went, our bartender, Tyler, went above and beyond and really made sure that my party’s experience was one to remember. She was extremely attentive and was always ready to make sure our drinks were always filled. Would definitely recommend coming for a cute bar/ small plates vibe, and again, the views are unbeatable.
One of our very favorite places to go! The servers & bar tenders are so kind & accommodating. We always look forward to our next visit to The Monarch Club! One more thing... the views of the city are amazing!
Whenever I have friends visiting Detroit, The Monarch Club is my go-to spot. This rooftop cocktail bar offers not just amazing and high-end drinks, but also a sophisticated atmosphere inside. The rooftop seating provides incredible views of Detroit, perfect for any evening out. The addition of fire pits outside really elevates the whole experience, making it cozy and chic at the same time. It’s a must-visit for an unforgettable night in the city!
My sister and I had such a lovely time sipping classically crafted cocktails, indulging in their wine list (some crispy, dry Michigan whites or the reds from Detroit Vineyards would be GREAT to see on the wine list though!! LOVED the glassware!), snacking, lingering in the dimly lit, intimate bar area, tower, and amazing rooftop verandas and we finished our visit off with an espresso. I loved the vibe, our server was so lovely, and we made some memories for sure. I can't wait to swing back in for a couple solo mid week cocktails and to bring out of town visitors to wow them with the views and show off the city from the top. Really awesome spot!!
