First visit to The Mocha House and we ordered Caffe Lattes with Brown Sugar Cinnamon flavored syrup, ($6 each) a Linzer Tart ($3.50) and Hummus with Pita wedges ($5.49). So, I don’t often get a flavor in my iced lattes and opted for one pump today…not a good choice for me. Many times the syrup flavors have an odd aftertaste and today was one of those times. They use Torani brand syrup which is pretty much an industry standard. Probably most people would enjoy this, just not me.
The Linzer Tart was a little Fl different as it has a shell of chocolate over the top cookie. This was a great tasting cookie. My only critique is that both cookies were thick and my preference would be that each would be half as thick. Great flavor though.
The Hummus and Pita Wedges was tasty…we could have used a few more pita wedges, otherwise it was nice flavored and just right size fir an afternoon snack.
This cafe has quite a large menu of breakfast, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, more than 10 cakes, pastries, coffees, espresso drinks and teas. There is a good amount of seating, you place your order at the counter and anything not ready to serve right there is delivered to your table.
The cafe is decorated in dark colors so it feels a little dark inside. The staff is attentive and friendly.
I've been here a few times and always enjoy it. I love the lattes and cheesecake. On this day, we got a salad and chicken with fries, both were good. We also cheesecake, which was delicious.
The only thing I'm not a fan of is it gets pretty chaotic since they don't take your order at the table. You have to stand in line. You could walk in, and there's several seats, but by the time you get out of line, it's packed. They do come around and clear your table, so I think it would make for a smoother dining experience if they also took the order from the table.
It's a nice place to meet up with friends or grab a good dessert. It's a little pricey but treating yourself is worth a splurge every now and then. Enjoy!
It's hard to know what to rate the Mocha House. If you're someone who doesn't like awkward layouts or large menus, then you definitely won't love the vibe inside Mocha House. If you're someone who doesn't like driving into strip malls to get a meal or a cup of coffee, then you're REALLY not gonna like it. But against all odds, this place just rocks. Maybe most known for their cheesecakes, Mocha House is a counter service restaurant-bakery-coffee house. It has its own unique charm and knows exactly who it is. If you don't like it, you best be warned it doesn't care. It's not for people who don't get it, it's for people who do. I've never been there without it feeling a little hectic, but I've also never had a bad dessert there either!
We had a lovely lunch here, today. The staff people were friendly and eager to please. The menu is incredibly giant, and I think they serve breakfast all day, any time. We had their blueberry lavender lemonade, the Big Mocha Burger with fries, and a melted ham and swiss sandwich with mac and cheese. All of the food was delicious. But their incredible cheesecake, fruit tarts, carrot cake, and other bakery specialties were drop dead phenomenal. There are tables and chairs, booths, and very comfortable areas to gather with a few friends or even for a family birthday party (?)... I will definitely be back!
Came with a large group and the staff was very accommodating and quick. We all loved our food and the desserts looked amazing. We were regularly checked on and the staff was friendly.
They have a large menu for such a small place, everyone is sure to find something they like. Tight seating/table arrangement. Staff is always great!
The food is always amazing especially the cheesecakes. Whenever I visit Mocha House I try to change up my cheesecake and try something new. I’ve never been disappointed. The staff works pretty hard to keep things flowing. It would be amazing to see them open something a little bigger. It can feel cramped in there sometimes. It’s totally worth it though.
Enjoyed a delicious reuben lunch. Sandwich so big could have easily split. Others had awesome looking breakfast. Great coffee. Friendly and helpful employees. Desserts looked amazing but didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time.
