I can’t imagine how anyone could be disappointed with this place! Simple the very best cakes and the widest selection to choose from. As for the pasties the pastry melts in your mouth and the stake is tender and moist. I want to try the sausage rolls because they look amazing but I just can’t leave without a pastie!
We've been visiting this bakery since it's quiet days in Street an Pol and visited today for the first time in their shiny new spot on Chapel Street.
The cakes are AMAZING. Every trip to St Ives includes at minimum 1 trip and the cakes are so large, they'll often last us 2-3 helpings. The black forest gateau is incredible. The lemon meringue is to die for, hell, everything is just amazing.
I emplor you to visit and try something. You won't regret it!
We came in to admire the absolutely enormous chocolate cake that was displayed in the window, and ended up leaving with a slice that lasted the two of us two days.
The chocolate cake is absolutely amazing, and so moist and rich. I’m hoping they open up a location in London soon!
Ordered the fruit crumbles which tasted amazing. The crumbles were one of the tastiest I've had, although I would caution that there isn't much fruits (unlike the name) since there's just a tiny bit of strawberry on top of the pastry and a very thin layer of jam within (which I personally find to be quite a good proportion since I'm not a big fan of jam, but I would imagine others might not be too impressed). I would definitely get this again if u happen to be in St Ives!
Delicious pasties found in st Ives. Cute little shop with the window full of delicious looking goodies. Kids really enjoyed the sausage rolls too. Marked down a star as the two ladies serving were a bit abrupt when we asked a couple of questions and felt as though they wanted you out the shop as soon as possible, but still a tasty pasty either way.

Only marked down a star as the pasties were just warm and when we ordered the food we asked a couple of questions and the staff serving came across very abrupt and didn’t come across very friendly. Other than that I would eat here again.
Just wow!! This bakery is one of the best! Me and my partner ordered a sausage roll and a garlic mushroom pasty and they were delicious! We also loved the look of the HUGE cakes but unfortunately didn’t have room for these - next time we can’t wait to try them because we truly haven’t seen cakes look that big or delicious before!
Most delicious sausages roll! We have it 2 days straight in a row.
