Finally checked this place out for a cocktail on the way to dinner after driving by a thousand times over the years. Definitely fits the dive bar mantra but actually pretty nice inside. We got lucky and got the couch and a couple of chairs.
We did not have food but the menu looked great with most items $10 or less. Also no music while we were there.
The drinks were excellent and well made and under $10. We had a Negroni, old fashioned, Cosmopolitan and a beer and they do not use the cheap stuff. The Negroni had Carpano Antica Vermouth.
Bartender was cordial and engaging. I can see where parking could be tough.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Rotating selection of beers on tap. Best Buffalo chicken sandwich I had in a long time. Steak tacos we're good, too. And there's outdoor seating. Diverse crowd. Always a good time. Every time someone asks me where to go, I send them here.
Also, the owners mother makes the best cakes and pies you ever had in your life!
One of the first places we visit whenever in Sarasota. I dream of the burgers when snow flies in Ohio. Small menu, great food, fair prices. Interesting mix of people, attentive service, elevated dive bar vibe. Please don't tell anyone how much we love it, The Mable's perfect just the way it is

We’ve only gone here for drinks and music, mid to late evening for an hour or two. There is usually a good mix of people, from younger students, to neighborhood folks, to local area visitors, like us. It’s kinda dive bar, but better kept than true dive. Has a good vibe, good music, live or radio. Bartenders pour great drinks for good prices, and make it through the lines pretty quick.
Next up will be to try the food! See attached menu. Food is pickup at window not table service.
Really enjoyed my visit here and will definitely return next time I’m in the area.
Cozy ambiance with low lighting and a borderline dive bar vibe but in all the best ways . Service was excellent and the drinks and food prices very reasonable. The music playing was a mix of everything so a little of something for everyone.
Just a note not to be put off by the exterior that to be honest is not too inviting but once your inside the place is awesome.

The drinks were made really good. Our bartender was great and offered great suggestions for food.
They ran out of the special tonight and offered a different version. My husband enjoyed the chicken pot stickers. I ordered the steak tacos and they were good too. My only complaint is that the food was saltier then I normally like.
it was ok there. Prices are average. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
