This hands down has the best wings this side of America! Fast, friendly and courteous staff! Food was hot and delicious! If you haven't been then you are missing out. And if you are just traveling by Salem Missouri and looking for a bite to eat I would recommend this place100/10. It is a people friendly place. They offere lots of menu items and drinks as well. Just because its a "bar" they DO have no alcohol friendly drinks as well that are absolutely delicious! First picture is original bbq wings, 2nd is garlic Parm and the 3rd is mini tacos all of which I purchased here at the Local!
Had a great time! We did a Murder Mystery dinner. My first one, lots of fun and the food was really good also. Will definitely do it again.
Great food and a nice bar. We were staying at an air b&b in Salem for vacation. While there, we stopped in this pub, and we were welcomed in this small town tight nit community. Thank you for making us feel welcome.
We stopped in at The Local for a few appetizers and wine and loved it. Charming spot with character and friendly staff. We thought the food was really good. We’re definitely coming back soon!
My husband and I found this little gem while passing through on our motorcycles. The sweet Thai chill chicken chunks & pretzel bites were delicious and hit the spot. Peach Mule? Yes, please!
The owner was working the bar & and I’m pretty sure he also prepared our food. Very personable and friendly.
While the space is small, the exposed brick & back lit liquor shelves, give it a cool vibe.
Great to have a few drinks & apps after work, watch “the game” on the weekend, or just a quick lunch while passing through on your Harley.

We come visit family at least once a year in Salem. We live in the Seattle area and honestly didn’t expect a place like this in Salem! It’s awesome, great vibe, great drinks and friendly people. The vibe is community, we were invited to join a group of folks hanging out and it’s like we were long lost friends. What a place! Good luck and you have a customer each time we come back.
Best little place around. Love the atmosphere and the employees are super friendly. Hands down, J makes the best margaritas ever!
Salem needs more businesses like this. Great atmosphere, owner and staff really nice, and wide selection of beer and mead. Not a lot of sit down food yet, but a nice deck in back and historic interior. Nice to see investment into outside of building as well.
