AMAZING!!!!!!!! We had a surprise party here. The party was moved because the other restaurant wasn’t accommodating. Thank God they aren’t! The food wa an incredible! I’ve never had food that tested this good. Front he fried green tomatoes, the burger, sliders, even the au ju gravy was incredible. Our server (Regina) was the highlight of our night. She served a party of 16 with no problem. We have never had a better experience. We will be back! Thank y’all for making us feel at home.
Down town historic Natchitoches. Very nice decor. Wait staff was friendly but very slow and they were not busy at the time. Shrimp and cheese grits were good. My favorite was the appetizer sampler. Good crab cake, fried oysters with spicy sauce, shrimp rumalade and traditional fried green tomatoes. ( I don't care for tomatoes and they won't let you substitute.) Menu needs major upgrade as it was just paper and downgrades the vibe.
With a few tweaks, would be awesome.
We were both pleasantly surprised as the word on the street was "bar food". Well let me tell you. This was the BEST potato salad I've ever had. EVER. Plus the rib sliders were melt in your mouth and perfect smoke! When every where else was closed or had a 2 hour wait...We were very happy & lucky to find ourselves at The Landing.
First time being here and we had a blast. Comfy seating, plenty of TVs to watch games on, even one on the balcony. Standard bar and a wine bar, pool table, dance floor, darts, lots of lights. Only food we had was blackened alligator; it was good but a smaller portion than you’d get in New Orleans and I’m not sure what the sauce was with it, normally would be some kind of remoulade. All the same, definitely be back here!
**Update**
Went back there this past weekend during the car show. Environment alone would keep us going back but the bartender Ashley is probably one of the friendliest bartenders we’ve encountered. We had a great time chatting, having our beverages and eventually ordered a combo pizza and double spicy wings. Both were great! Took a panorama pic while I was there to try and capture the whole place. Was pleasantly surprised they had non alcoholic options, Budweiser zero for example.
