Small but perfectly formed is the name of the game with this pub.
A compact, but lively little establishment with contemporary, yet traditional décor. It features a good selection of beers and spirits all at very reasonable prices.
The food was also delicious, serving locally sourced produce, freshly made to order and of a very high quality.
As an added bonus, it's a very short walk from Shifnal Railway station, with direct links to Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham - so no need to bring the car!
Visited the King's Yard Micropub last night and had an excellent night. The "Butty Bach" is to be highly recommended which comes as no real surprise since the licensee previously ran The White Hart. It was great to see the same staff from the Hart at the Kings Yard. The pub was well laid out and gave ample distancing between tables. The decor was inviting and made for a comfortable atmosphere.
Food was available in the form of baps with a range of fillings.
A place to go to!!
Nice little place to go, not much space around the bar area but it is a nice place to go. Visited a few times, the prices are a bit much for me to visit regularly, but for ale fans I imagine they would go regardless of price for the variety on offer and the advice/information on the different varieties on offer from the staff.
I would recommend trying this place to anyone!
I nearly missed it as its frontage is small. However, once inside there is a friendly atmosphere. There is extra seating upstairs too.
Cracking little pub on the high street in shifnal. Fairly lively too due to its size. Was a fair few in the afternoon when I popped in for one in the week. Has upstairs seating and couple of tables outside. Good selection of ale, I had a wye valley hpa which was well kept. Very good service behind the bar and coupled of locals I chatted to were friendly. Recommended ????
Great micropub with a nice upstairs. Only spent an hour or so here but the beer was good and we had a fun game of Jenga
Fantastic little micro pub. Lots of real ales on pull. Some of the best traditional rolls I’ve had! Really recommend.
I work away all over the world and have sampled many cultures and many diffrent types of food and beers.....ADAM realy dose the Kings yard a absolute justice,gorgeous food,great real beers and the atmosphere is so welcoming from the local community
If you touring the area or attending a festival at weston Park I would highly recommend a visit....5 stars is not enough.
