Live music was nice. I went on a Saturday around 830 or 9. Wasn't crowded at all. It was a nice date night. Drinks were average priced. Cover was $5. I will return for sure.
Didn't have the food, but I heard good things about it from other patrons.
We went on a night when there was a combo of live music and a DJ. I really liked the performance (sorry- don't remember the name). Good atmosphere, good bartenders & drink prices, and not a bad crowd. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The bartenders are so kind and personable. They make excellent drinks. You definitely get what you pay for! The juke offers a grown and sexy vibe while still being a low key spot you can enjoy yourself in.
This is a great place to 2 step, but only on Wednesday from about 7-11. After that the music and the environment changes to rap and a young crowd. They also have a live band on Fridays. It's a layed back vibe. The band typically plays songs you can dance to. The food is pretty good and always cooked fresh. There is generally a $10 cover charge to get in.
First visit yesterday and to start the hostess, light skin woman with long black braids was not friendly at all. Didn’t direct us where to go, no friendly greeting. Just a bad attitude but with another table she seemed to be a tad bit more friendly. Wasn’t the best way to start. Waiter was great and food was delicious which made a better experience. Just need to get that hostess some manners and better customer service skills.
Attended Monday night Soul session. 7/31/2023, Let's just say the entertainment was on ????. We were celebrating my girlfriend's 70th birthday. We had the best time. The service was good, shout to Ms. Tee she was a great waitress, and the food was lip smacking good . We had a variety from shrimp to fried, whiting ???? it was quiet while we eating had to concentrate on a delicious plate. After food, it was party time. It was a great time had by all. Four people were in attendance. Yes, we will return.
This place is all that a jazz dive should be. Strong drinks, smooth music and dancing, friendly waitstaff and delicious soul/barfood. A fun night with work friends I won't soon forget!
We came here because another jazz club was closed. I am SO glad that we did! The food and service was Impeccable!
The jazz band playing this evening were skilled and entertaining. The staff were so hospitable and helpful, this will be my permanent jazz destination in the future.
The fried catfish was juicy with the crisp finish and the wings are to die for! Thank you, other jazz venue, for allowing me to explore this diamond in the rough! ❤️
