After initially being told the restaurant was not serving by one of the waiters my wife and I walked on with our children. The manager literally chased us down the street and apologised on behalf of his waiter and . He invited us back to his restaurant and proceeded to give us the best service we have received in the UK.
The food was good and cooked to our preference with no questions. The manner of the staff with our children was brilliant and we felt very comfortable the whole time.
The previous negative review I can see for this restaurant must be a staff issue and this is obviously an area the management need to address. Sadly one member of staff can sour an experience for all.
In conclusion: truly great service, good food, warm welcome, clean environment.

Went here for food during Truro late night shopping. The food was wonderful. The service was lacking. It took 30min to get starters (they were not that busy) but it was good so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then the wait for the mains...40min in total from finishing the starter. The waitress asked us twice during this time if we wanted to pay or order coffee or dessert, to which we responded no, we would like our food. When it finally did come it was lovely, but 40min for 2 pizzas is a bit much!
Also wasn't overly impressed by the fact that my husband and I got sat on a table where we had to sit squished next to each other instead of facing each other.
In short, the food was great, but the service was terrible.
Visiting Truro and wanted to dine at an independent restaurant instead of one of the chains. However really bad experience. It's a pretty big place, sadly they only had one waiter. He was doing everything from making drinks, taking orders, delivering food to the table and taking payments. Poor guy was rushed of his feet. We were going to leave after a short while as we could see he was alone. However felt it would be rude. Also had fingers crossed that the food would be super nice. By this time we were really hungry too. Plus we had our little one who is in his terrible two's. So finally we gave our orders and waited. The drinks arrived really quickly and I thought things will be ok. However how wrong was I. The waiter didn't know if he was coming or going. He was bringing the wrong food orders to the wrong tables. It happened twice, even to us. Not once did he say sorry or laugh it off. He just didn't care and took the food order to the other table. Even at the bill stage he didn't even say how was your meal? Once we ordered he didn't make is aware that there maybe a delay. By the time the food arrived we were just so hungry and we just didn't care so we eat and wanted to get out. Poor show
I picture you a mildly busy Wednesday late night shopping around 7pm, half the tables have people chatting laughing and drinking and another quarter have couples looking gooey into each others eyes. Perfect eve for a date night with my wife. We are settled in an area of the restaurant by the door unable to face eachother, no matter, we will lailigh and enjoy each others company before grabbing dinner and carrying on with our shopping.
We order drinks and they arrive, we order our food and carry on dining the night away. 30minuets after we have had our round of drinks our starters arrive, perfect, good size, good quality and presentation is perfect. We enjoy the starters and in 10 minutes there's not much but a few scraps on the plate. If this is what starters where I can not wait for my Pizza of Mexico!
30 minuets pass and the starters had been cleared, our glasses remained empty. The waitress has asked us if we want to pay... No I inform we still are waiting for the mains, she looked puzzled.
Another 10 minutes drag by and she's asking again if we want the bill, I inform her we are awaiting our pizzas still. She tells me 2 minutes.
Still waiting like mugs 5 minutes go by and bam pizza Infront of us at 8:30 or eternity past 3.
We enjoy the food and wolf it down, hungry, annoyed and disappointed. We inform her of our displeasure as I goto the bar to pay its water off a ducks back to her, I now right this at home with heart burn and £40.50 lighter than if i just stuck with my opinion big Italian dining, DON'T BOTHER! on the plus side I got to spend time with my wife.
This place was pretty good when I started going about 1 year ago. Red wine got changed to save money. Waiter has skin complaint. Pizzas are not hot enough.
Can't understand the bad reviews for this place. We had a lovely meal here last month. Food was great, waiter was friendly, our experience was a good one.
