Excellent check-in. Speedy. Clean hotel. Clean room. Many areas are newly remodeled on site. Beds were comfortable. We did not eat the breakfast so I do not know what they served. There is NO ELEVATOR in this hotel. It’s a 2 story building so if you can not climb stairs, request a ground level room! We would stay here again.
Lovely people running an older low-ish end property in a small town along I-64. Across from a truck stop(?), an ex-K-Mart and industrial businesses so I was slightly worried about parking my pickup but it turned out ok. Room was huge (hard to heat), appeared clean, had a bizarre huge white tiled jetted tub next to the bed and a small pod-like shower in the bathroom, but those are only quirks. Bed fine, pillows way too overstuffed to sleep on, but that's been a problem at every hotel this trip. Quiet, dark, able to sleep. Cost was typical of Wyndham properties along the interstate. Really only fast food in the area, but was able to Door Dash from McDonalds. Breakfast had no fresh cooked eggs etc but that was ok.
Clean and Comfortable, but had some hang ups for sure. We were traveling with our five children, ages 6 to 15. We had requested adjoining rooms or rooms beside each other months in advance. My husband, the 6 year old and I chose one room, our oldest 4 went in the other room across the hall. Our room had cups, coffee, and a nice check in note. The room our teenagers chose had none of these things.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and served their purpose for a place to sleep for the night.
Breakfast provided food. Smoothie machine was broken and there was a waffle maker but no syrup in the syrup dispenser. Everyone left with something to eat.
Check out got a bit rocky. We requested to pay cash for the two rooms and both got charged to our debit card on accident. The girl working the desk tried multiple times to contact a manager and on the 4th call was able to contact someone to approve a refund of the cash payment I had given her before our card was charged.
The five star rating is for everything except breakfast. Easy to get to off of I64 and the AA Highway. There are several fast food options close by. We were very pleased with the clean environment and our room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They provided great value for the price. The breakfast could be better but the cost would go up.
Nice hotel and I was even willing to complement it because it was so clean but my God Angela the manager is horrible. They charged my debit card $60 for a comforter they claimed I destroyed with pizza sauce when I clearly knew that I had had no pizza in the room or anything that would have contained pizza sauce or orange sauce. I spoke with Angela the manager twice because she hung up on me once and she was very rude. She threatened me with pictures that she said she had of the comforter. I asked her for the owner's contact information and she gave me a stern no. I asked her why she would not give me the owner's contact info and she said it's because they are Indian. I was not able to speak to anyone else and I am awaiting a phone call back from Wyndham hotels. The front desk clerk that checked me in was super nice the housekeeper was super nice but Angela the manager was horrible.
Very nice hotel. The owners are keeping up with maintenance. Hallway to rooms clean and bright. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were excellent. Continental breakfast is what you’d expect - coffee and muffins - which was fine. Great value! We would stay there again.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights the first night was fine. Second night my husband had to go to the front desk and complain about the noise coming from the room next to ours they told him they would take care of it, not so finally quieted down around 6 a.m. we were told the motor to the Jacuzzi had gone off . Couldn't anyone pull the plug , or made arrangements to put us in another room. Not a happy customer.
Nicely done Days Inn!!!! |We wanted a half way stop between Alabama & Pennsylvania. I read MANY bad reviews about car break ins, bedbugs, dishonest charges etc. in southern WVA, so I selected this Days Inn close to the border, but still in Ky. We usually choose Marriott hotels but as I said above, not-so-good reviews all along this interstate… |When I read this hotel was just completely remodeled Oct 2022, I figured it was worth a try. Everything was very clean, and exactly as pictured. |Check in / out staff were polite & attentive. I was worried about our truck pulling a Uhaul trailer, and asked if the parking area had security cameras & lights… and it did! Although the no-parking sign was where we wanted to park, we were directed to just take up multiple parking spots & we did with no problems. Everything was completely fine. Although the area is a little desolate, our overnight stay was perfect. The room was well stocked & spotless. I personally appreciated the new style metal bed frames… (more sanitary). Angel, the cleaner, is apparently very good at her job. The breakfast was light but if you leave hungry, it’s your own fault. The coffee was great, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, yogurt, juice, cereals, oatmeal & the biggest muffins imaginable. The fruit was a little over-ripe but that kind of makes sense since it’s not the busiest hotel. |Bottom line, easy in-easy out, ample parking, and a good night sleep. |I did read someone posted about highway noise; it is right off the interstate, so I don’t know why you wouldn’t expect to hear trucks going by… but personally, I found it a distant, soothing, white noise.|I would, without a doubt, stay here again on a long road trip. Price-point, clean & light breakfast, what more do need?!
