A good locals pub, with a friendly atmosphere. Good, hand pulled ales. Theakston and Trooper. Dog friendly. There was live music but we didn't stay. It sounded good on the sound check. Would recommend for authentic, locals feel.

After having a round of drinks, was informed by the barmaid to keep buying drinks otherwise we will be removed from the premises as "it is not a youth club". The woman was extremely rude and ageist towards the younger population. The pub had barely any visitors as it is.
Spent all evening in here spending good money my partner was sick of drinking lager so asked for a black Russian (tia Maria, vodka and coke) and was point blank refused. The excuse was not having 2 drinks in 1 glass. We are hardly 18 year old piss heads who can't handle our drinks. We know what we want to drink and won't be forced into drinking pints because it's easier for the bar staff to pour. Deary me you've just lost good paying customers change your bar staff we are now up the road in a different pub and are drinking our drinks of choice.
Hi , we called in for a couple of pints a band of musicians were having a practice run for St Patrick's day , music was ok and easy to sing along to. The 4 of us were the only audience they had , but was a fun couple of hours .
Friendly staff and customers and nice real ale. Dog friendly, too. What's not to like?!
'proper' pub in Filey, serving my favorite beer the old peculiar. Traditional, busy lively boozer, probs the best in town
