Decided to visit after our walk in the windy, cold and rainy Shaftoe Crag. Craving something hot and greasy. Would normally not have a breakfast after 13 but because it was on offer and we could not resist, my husband and I ordered it.
Definitely hit the spot and served piping hot! i mean PIPING HOT! Literally hashafashasha while eating it. ????
Hubby had his as is but me being the weirdo asked for the black pudding swapped for another slice of bacon.
Love this place, it’s a breath of fresh air compared to your typical chain cafe. Really good range of delicious food, freshly cooked, served by friendly staff. Would recommend booking if you’re visiting at busier times.

Delicious food for a little cafe. We had soup and paninis; excellent value. A great selection of vegetarian options here.
Waitresses were lovely, especially helpful and attentive.
Sadly, the cake that we bought to takeaway was dry. It was the last piece so maybe it had been sitting around for a while. Would try another ????
Had all day breakfast, which was quite disappointing. Scrambled egg was microwaved, even the dog wouldn't eat it!
Tomatoes were tasty, but sausage was clearly heated up.
Did order sausages for dog, which arrived cold in tiny glass dish so not able to.just put down for him.
Overall a thoroughly disappointing experience.
We enjoyed a delicious family meal. They were most accommodating to our needs including 2 dogs and a 5 month old baby. Staff were helpful and friendly. The special of butternut squash, halloumi and red pepper fritters with salad and Cajun mayo was excellent as were the panini and sandwiches. The crumble and custard were superb. Excellent toilets including baby changing and car parking behind.
I eat here regularly and the food is always amazing. They change the menu frequently and there is always a great choice of sandwiches and different meals. The portions are huge so be warned and try and leave room for cake. Particularly if they have been making sticky toffee pudding or cherry pie. The smells are amazing.
They've worked really hard with social distancing and there is a one way system in place and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. You can take dogs which is a bonus but I'd recommend you book as it's popular. Outdoor seating is available and when it's sunny that's lovely to sit in the garden.
Went in for a late breakfast, had myself eggs benedict with bacon and a coffee, food is absolutely to die for, great range of coffees and the service is second to none! Will always recommend!! Easy 5 stars.
Excellent village cafe serving delicious snacks, hot food and drinks. Went for breakfast on Saturday morning and were looked after by the friendly staff. Vegetarian and gluten free options plus catering for different dietary requirements. Lovely atmosphere with terrific scran, well worth a visit.
