Best KPortal Reviews

The food was excellent, however the service let the whole experience down.
The waiting staff didn't seem to have a handle on the stage each table were at, or sounded surprised when told something was missing.
The food itself was tasty and we'll presented. We had a little wait due to the issues above.
If we were local, the service may put you off from returning, however it was probably just an off night.
Stumbled across this lovely restaurant by chance and so glad we did! The menu was a delight to read, lots of local flavours and seasonal choices. We treated ourselves to 3 courses with each being as amazing as the next. Would 100% recommend going and enjoying yourselves. The whole experience was made even better by the excellent waiting team who were attentive and present whilst giving you space and time.
Friendly staff, good value gin. My wife's burger was lovely and the puddings were good. However, the "Cassoulet" I ordered was not a cassoulet. It was just chicken on a bed of peas with a mayo like sauce. Was disappointed with that dish, sadly
Fantastic food, excellent service and in a lovely space. The most consistently delicious food we've had for a long time, and the black forest gateaux with cherry ice-cream was heavenly. Highly recommend and it's well worth booking in advance. We'll definitely be returning when we're back in the area. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Absolutely amazing. Couldn't fault this little gem. The staff are all very friendly, greeting us by name (a regular for my dad Dave and step mum Anita) always a lovely touch. The chef was great, really chatty and even collected us for our turn at the carvery himself! Very personal, each table is called up in turn - saves the unnecessary ques lining up to get food! And the food - just beautiful, delicious! Wouldn't think twice about visiting again..and again.. and again.
The food was great but the real shining star was the service - the staff were super friendly and helpful and a real credit to the place! Thank you
Fantastic meal, great service. We had the Hake as recommended from the 'specials' which was perfect. Good place to stop for a quality meal on the way back from Cornwall
It's hard to find A sunday roast that beats your mom's. This place does. The creamy Swede mash and the Cornish beef, that melts in your mouth. A real treat. Only downside was the service, a bit chaotic and had to remind them of a few things we ordered. Sort this out and your on to a winner.
