The finest restaurant experience I've had in a very long time. The staff are excellent. The food was second to none. I'll not hesitate to recommend and will return again in the future ????????
Lunch at the Haven Brasserie - Excellent
Returned to the Haven Brasserie for lunch today, food and service excellent. Would recommend anyone visiting to visit the Brasserie......book in advance though (no walk-ins). We really enjoyed visiting again. Thanks again Julian & Amanda
I only can recommend this place! Food is delicious and don’t get fooled by thinking you get regular pub food - no it’s served very nicely and taste fantastic! Had the cod and my wife the lamb. What a treat!
I cannot get over how PHENOMENAL this place is. The atmosphere is gorgeous. So safe with covid - the loveliest masked waitresses I've had in ages. The food was superb- and this is coming from a picky vegan who doesn't like mushrooms and is severely allergic to nuts. Felt so safe. I can't even imagine how spectacular the view must be while you eat looking out over the sea. A perfect location with perfect service and perfect food (HUGE COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF).
A SOLID 11/10
Being on holiday here my husband and I wanted to find a place for lunch and driving round the coast road we found this little piece of heaven - we hadn’t booked but the lovely ladies found us a table for 2. We had the best fish and chips we have ever eaten- amazing!! Such a little gem and we’ll be back - well worth the trip and excellent value .
Beautiful setting and delicious food. We had the cod, hake kiev and mackerel followed by brownie and apple crumble tart. Lovely service, took a while to get the bill but otherwise faultless. Will definitely come back ????
The food is absolutely incredible; so scrumptious and exquisitely presented I asked two waiters if we could meet the chef! The food was very thought through. Fantastic texture combinations; the flavours were bold and every mouthful as mouth-watering as the last. Not only were we impressed by the quality of food, but the excellence of service and warm atmosphere.
We have eaten in Michelin Star restaurants, yet the 'Haven Brasserie' experience topped them all! A lovely and welcoming surprise. A diamond in a diamond! 100% worthy of a Michelin Star!
We visited The Haven whilst on holiday here to celebrate a birthday. The 3 stars mainly reflects the slightly inflated prices we felt for the dishes we had, not so much the quality.
I had a beautiful starter of smoked salmon, served with baby pickles and gherkins followed by Hake and side dishes which had to be ordered as extras. My husband had the pate which was quite small followed by the fish pie which was OK he said but again not the most filling for the price.
When it came to desserts, my chocolate fondant like dish hadn't turned out right the first time so the chef cooked it again and we were informed of the delay which was fine. Unfortunately, my husband had ordered 2 scoops, well, 2 very small quenelles shall I say of ice cream which must have been plated for some time as they were the consistency of cream.
It is situated on the coast but unfortunately we were too late in booking to get a seat at the front so we were through the back with quite a loud group. The seats were also very hard and quite uncomfortable, a cushion would have been a nice addition.
I always try to leave a true review and the quality was not in question nor was the service which was excellent, we both just felt it was a bit expensive for the portion size. The following night we dined at The Wild Emporium in St Davids which was beyond exceptional, £45 for a generous 6 course taster meal and could not have been a better evening.
