Very clean great staff waiting time was ok 30 min to 1 hour, as appointments for different medical treatments I went for diabetic eye screening big car par and shops handy, chemist and library inside
I couldn’t fault this place. After previously waiting 30 minutes at Widnes walk in centre for advice only, I was seen by a nurse and the only advice she gave me without asking about my symptoms was to go to Halewood walk in centre. Why the reception staff couldn’t have told me, I’ll never know. So I arrive at Halewood walk in and immediately called to reception; she was lovely and friendly, took all my details and told me to take a seat in the waiting room. I sent my husband a quick text and was called in to be seen. Nurse was very efficient, did my obs and checked the areas I complained of. A diagnosis was made, and prescription sent to the pharmacy next door and 20 minutes later I went home.
Wife took grandson this there morning (17/12/23), man on the door said not open today, reason they had no nurses, what's the point in the place, doesn't Halewood deserve better?
Went to the Walk In yesterday 16th June, had insect bites on my leg which had become infected. In and out within 30 minutes with a prescription for antibiotics, waited longer in the Boots Chemist to get my prescription. All the staff in the Walk In were helpful and pleasant
Absolutely disgusting standard of service . Was told wait til was 1 hour 30 mins .. still waiting over 3 and a half hours with baby. Was told I was next in the Que and 5 other people were seen before us … absolutely Terrible experience and staff didn’t not care !
I very nearly walked back out of here because we stood in a big queue in -5° snowy weather for over half an hour - (because we were unaware of the reduced open hours 10am-6pm not 8am-8pm as the website stated) - to then walk in and find people who'd sneaked in the building from the other side being seen to first. I spoke to a receptionist who was really understanding and suggested to the other receptionist (who was dealing with the ones who sneaked in) that they need to keep the internal shutter down until the people waiting in the freezing cold are seen to first. We then went into triage and seen a very abrupt nurse who didn't let me explain properly, made assumptions based on an overheard conversation and then tried her best to put us off waiting to be seen ????
I'm so glad I stood up for my daughter and asked to wait for her to be examined.
The reason I've given 3 stars is for the nurse that called us through she was really lovely and done a thorough check of my daughters abdomin and gave us some suggestions to manage the ongoing pain which was extremely reassuring after 3 weeks and a waste of omeprazol prescribed by our gp over the phone. First impressions are alot but that nurse restored my faith and anyone going here don't be put off by abrupt triage nurses, if you feel you or your child need seeing ask to wait to be seen.
Called in today as I am starting a chest infection which is particularly bad as I have severe asthma. Excellent staff, caring and supportive. Emergency prescription arranged. This is my go to place when I can’t get to see GP.
Been here a few times to give blood. In and out in minutes all done. Maybe one downside was I wanted to get a NHS dentist , and was told not a chance. I thought NHS was free for everyone , so why NO !
