This place was recommended to me by someone working at the hotel. It is mostly outdoors and pet friendly. The view is nice and the people were friendly. Please note you order at the window and they bring it to your table. I was expecting a table service type restaurant atmosphere. The bar is full service so if you sit there you can be served food. They also have a shop if you want to bring a souvenir or t-shirt home.
We ate here a few times while staying in FWB. You order at the counter and are given a pager to take to your table and then your order is brought out to you. The whole place is an outdoor dining restaurant but you can pick to be under a covered patio near the food order counter or sit out on the lawn. There's a big bar also to sit at or just walk up and get drinks and take back to your table. There are multiple seating areas to choose from such as high top tables and picnic tables with umbrellas. This place is right down by the waterfront so people can boat up and dock and kids can play in the sand and water too. There's fish food to buy also for kids to throw in the water. My kids love doing that and finding hermit crabs of course. There's also a sand volleyball court on site and a gift shop too. So to say the least this place has a little something for everyone to do. I like the vibe and the outdoor setup. The food is sorta pricey for the amount you get but the atmosphere makes up for it. The hand cut fries are good. I didn't care for the loaded ones. The cauliflower bites are good too. My grilled grouper salad was really good. The next time I went back I was disappointed to find out they didn't offer grilled grouper anymore tho. I tried the grilled shrimp instead and didn't care for it. Other things we got was the 2 pound crab leg boil and the crab legs were good but way too many potatoes in that meal. The ahi tuna salad was really nice. The kids got ice cream bars from the gift shop and they are $7 a pop. Overall I recommend going to the Gulf. It's a whole vibe but don't go expecting to get grilled grouper!
Alexis took my order and was very friendly. The place was clean and it had a good vibe outside and on the inside upstairs. The food was tasty and I think k it was a good value. I had the shrimp tacos (turned into a bowl).
We came in on an especially chilly day and were so surprised at how enjoyable it still was. They have a small but very comfortable indoor seating area upstairs with its own bar, TVs, and a couch. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed family lunch with a few rambunctious toddlers.
Our food was delicious (better than I remember it being a few years back) and our service was great as well. Shout out to Carlie for the help & good company!!
Definitely still worth the visit in winter! Plus, they have cute Christmas decorations up as well ????
Nicole was great! We chatted about the area and she made us great cocktails. The view and vibe here is relaxing and perfect. Will be back!
Nicole was the best! She was very knowledgeable of the menu choices. Her customer service was impeccable. Before I had the food I knew I would come back again based on her great service. The food did not disappoint. I ordered the shrimp tacos and added the loaded fries. Someone in my party made her tacos a bowl, and it looked delicious. I will have to try that next time.
So happy we discovered this place. Great open outdoor space right on the sound. Nice play area for the kids. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating. Everything we ordered was really good. Try the spicy margarita!
The best. The food is phenomenal. Atmosphere is perfect. A hidden gem of Ft Walton. Rarely extremely busy, quick service and great for families. You can’t order wrong here.
