Fantastic little place. The staff were really friendly (despite the name lol) and the food was nice, at a good price. Lots of art to peruse and buy. All in all, lovely! Will visit again if I'm in the area.
An interesting, quirky, seaside cafe/diner opposite Cleethorpes pier gardens on the main road parallel to the seafront. It displays and sells artwork by local artists which creates a feel for the area and a friendly, relaxing but vibrant atmosphere accompanied by music played on vinyl records. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Although I have only tried the full English breakfast up to now. The service is friendly and efficient. I can't fault this place.
This has a strange name, but nothing grumpy about the people here. Service is lovely and I enjoyed a Gluten Free meal at lunch time.
We have two Saint Bernards so always looking for places to eat when we go to cleethorpes which is most weekends to walk out doggies…we walked past the grumpy kitchen several time but didn’t have sign for dogs welcome but to tell the truth it didn’t look like they did it was spotless and could see beautiful artwork on the wall but my hubby said I’ll ask if dogs can go in omg so glad he did because we’ve found a proper little gem..as I said it’s spotless inside and the artwork is just fabulous to look at …now the food well it’s all freshly cooked with great ingredients and a proper good old English brekky very tasty indeed.the staff are the friendliest we’ve ever come across they make such a fuss not only our babies but also us if you’ve never been give it ago you won’t be disappointed
Genuinely one of the nicest places I've been to in a long time. The food was great - vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options along with plenty of meat stuff at a great price. Beautiful artwork on the walls, ABBA vinyl playing in the background, and the coffee was delicious! I had the home made soup and my husband had a club sandwich with home made coleslaw. Would strongly recommend both.
Our favourite thing was the service, we've not had service like that in a very long time and it really made our day ❤️

We were sat on a small table at the very back. Opposite the toilet. And not far from the kitchen. Lots of shouting and arguing from the kitchen with staff. About a 45 minute wait for our breakfasts. No apology. Very young inexperienced front of house staff.. after the long wait a very undercooked egg. Clear slime all over the egg. Safe to say we wont be returning to this farcical..
Brilliant little café restaurant. Lovely welcoming atmosphere with a very personal touch by the owners. Our "go to place" when visiting family in Cleethorpes. Absolutely love it here!
