As a first time customer, I was ecstatic as soon as I walked in the door. Cozy environment and a hospitable welcome made me happy about my choice. I like that grafiti!! The wait time was suitable and my food was spectacular. Thanks Ms. Sheila and Toya!
I am sorry to leave this review but I have to be honest. I don't want any food but I wish I could get a refund. The lady at the front was very pleasant so much I left a 5 dollar tip and you all can keep it based off her service. The food however was not good.
The salmon Patties were so nasty I couldn't finish them I have two left and one went in the trash it taste like dog food. The rice had butter but no flavor at all and the hone made potatoes were nasty and taste like ketchup were infused in them. The fish did have flavor but taste like salt only and ran my pressure up sky high. It was not what I was looking for it was so bad I went back out at 10 sum at night to the shrimp hut to get my fish fir my cravings.
I am sorry to say it was much better but I am upset because with me spending money here and at the shrimp hut I spent over 40 dollars just to have a decent fish meal. I would not return it may not be nasty but it is not to my liking but to each their own. Of you are reading this no I don't want another meal I want my money back. Yourself and me can contact my bank and we can correct this issue because I will definitely be in touch with them to see if they will reach out because I know you all will want to argue and not fix this.
Food arrived hot. A side item was missing. Food was too salty for my taste. Fried perfectly though. My daughter sent me this meal as my Sunday lunch.
IMO, not worth the price. Generally a decent meal.
They serve Koolaid! That was unexpected and tasty. They have an extensive menu. It seems like a very popular local spot. There was a wait when we arrived, and lots of ppl in and out with carry out orders.
It’s a soul food spot that is a good as any in the area.
The customer service was wonderful, everyone was super friendly and joyful. The food was delicious! We got the catfish combo, excellent catfish! The spicy shrimp poboy was very good too. The French toast croissant was great. As far as sides the green beans, fried potatoes, and greens were all delicious! We will definitely be back.
Great food, reasonably priced. Highly recommended if your seeking a down to earth, home cooked meal, this is the right place!
These ladies are just phenomenal. I am a DoorDash driver and I pick up here all the time. They are always so sweet, working so hard and producing some of the best breakfast food I have ever had today. The young lady behind the counter handed me both my to go orders, and as I was heading back to my vehicle, she chased after me bringing me an extra sandwich. Little did she know I'm going through very hard times right now so financially things are very tight. Meaning I miss several of my usual meals. she proceeded to hand me an extra sandiwtch That she had prepared. In times like these, it is sometimes the smallest of things that can warm our heart She certainly did that for me today ❤️♥️???????? sitting in my car, tearing up while eating one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Thank you so much for making my day.
So I gave them two stars because two out of five of the things that we got we’re good. The strawberry cake was very good. my breakfast sandwich was good. Rice was mushy and had way to much butter. The fried potatoes were good but was more mashed than fried. The salmon croquettes were greasy and kind of tasted like flat fish bread. the eggs were ok. I’d love to come back and try the fried chicken and blackened salmon. We spent about $45.
