Loved the charm and friendliness of everyone! History is written on the table......once you've sat down to enjoy your pint, the vibe kicks in. You will relax!
Cosy little pub serving the finest Sam Smiths beer. Very traditional pub
This place doesn't change, and that's a good thing! Traditional, cosy and homely, open fires in winter, plenty of outdoor seating, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. This is a Sam Smiths pub so drinks are very reasonably priced. No music or mobile phones and tablets allowed so if you want to sit scrolling and posting on social media instead of interacting with your friends/family/better half, this is not the place for you.
Traditional Yorkshire pub. Great beer. Great atmosphere. Always made welcome and always someone to have a chat with.... lovely flowers and garden in the summer to sit out side...real fires in the winter. One of Mr Smiths finest of which he should be proud of with Tina at the helm. Thank you Tina x
This pub is a gem !! there is no WiFi no TV no music. It a pub that's seems to have been there since Time it's self ?.the landlady and her husband were so so friendly .locals to even though the once a year bicycle race had created problems parking .It's a tiny pub with three small rooms all with open fires .If 20 people were in this pub it would feel very cosy lol but there is plenty of space out side and that's were you will find the toilet .
I've not visited for years, friendly, bit old but popular with the locals. Sam Smiths pub.
The Greyhound is one of those backwater olde fashioned local pubs for local people. Run and stocked by Sam Smiths the range of draught is limited to beer and stout, although there are bottles available behind the counter. They don’t do food and they don’t do mobiles or any other electronic devices, seriously they have signs up telling you not to get them out…not that it matters as I have never been able to get a signal there. Despite a roaring open fire next to the 3foot long bar it can get cold in some of the areas of the drinking space provided so be prepared. The photo is of the church directly next door. Oh, and the gents loos are outside and open air.
5 stars for originality. The pub is probably as it was 100 years ago. Outside toilets. 1 very small bar and 3 little snugs. Plenty of tables outside for when the weather is good. Also a good pint of Sams.
