Sadly no food available but a great place to stop for a drink while riding through Weardale.
Nice traditional pub with a good selection of lagers and beers! Clean and tidy throughout and seating area outside at the front! Very helpful, cheerful, barman! ????

Fabulous, well run pub with a great selection of cask ales. The outside seating area at the front is great and there is simply no better place to be on a sunny day watching the world go by!

Without doubt the best pub in Stanhope the landlord and Landlady are fantastic hosts excellent well kept beers and the locals are friendly and are great source of information regarding the local area.
And the pub also has a fantastic refurbished cottage just behind the pub which is for rent sleeps six highly recommend if you want to stay in the area
