What an amazing tea & coffee room! Came to town to get my car checked out down the road and was looking for somewhere to grab lunch and chill out for a bit. Jake and Sue are the perfect pair they made some amazing food and also made us feel so welcome. They made sure everything was perfect and lovely. We sat down in garden seating area they put up and it was really a pleasant experience, enjoying the sunshine whilst eating amazing food with nice music in the background. I would definitely recommend this place! if I was a local I would visit most times. Hopefully will come back to pay another visit very soon. Keep up the great work guys.
Found this place few weeks ago after a recommendation and had the best oatcakes ever! Had friends up from Sussex so decided to try Sunday lunch here today and was not disappointed excellent portions, food was delicious and hot with great service, can't wait for new menu this week and arrange our next visit
We called in today and were impressed with the choices on the menu, I'm from Stoke-on-Trent so I was very impressed and excited when I saw Oatcakes on the menu. The food, service and prices are fantastic. The owner Jay is very friendly and excellent chef we will definitely be going again.
Sunday carvery- was absolutely amazing! This was 1 persons, I was so full, I needed a nap!!!
We preordered the meals, and the lady and gent that run the place were really polite, food was piping hot, and brilliant quality!

What a place! the food is even better than it looks in the pictures and even the biggest of eaters would have trouble clearing their plates!!! Every single thing is prepared from scratch by the owners who are BOTH qualified chefs and literally the nicest husband and wife duo you could ever meet!!! They will take the time to come and speak to you in person during and after your meal and are rightly proud of what they have built together. The place has the such an "at home" feel, like you are really dining with friends/family and that sort of atmosphere, you just can't manufacture.
If ever you were an advocate of supporting local businesses, this one ought to be at the top of your list. There is not a single thing I could be negative about, not one. Simply put, it is tremendous food, priced so honestly, you would happily pay double at the end once you have tried it -now how many people could say that! 5 ????, should be 10!

First time visiting and will definitely not be the last! Absolutely beautiful Sunday dinner, love the quirkyness of the place and hospitality is so welcoming and friendly. Couldn't fault a thing. Best Sunday dinner I've eaten out. The gravy is legendary.
